Well now we have 13-14 inches. That was at 8 am.

Yeah, no chance of me coming. Too icy. and roads will be horrible.
 
I've got 18 inches. And while the roads may get cleared that quickly in VA, I'm pretty sure that they won't here. See you all at Staunton.
 
Well, it's looking like I won't be at Stafford due to the weather. Man, I wish this snow didn't hit right now... :mad:

Anyway, I'll see if I can make it to Fairfax instead. Somehow, I doubt it, but you never know.
 
As of 8:00 PM, VDOT is classifying I-95 in Stafford county as "severe" driving conditions. Therefore, in order to insure the safety of my players, I have just posted the following announcement at virginia pokemon, http://sites.google.com/site/virginiapokemon/

Snow Announcement

The City Championship scheduled for Sunday , Dec 20 in Stafford, VA has been postponed due to inclement weather. The makeup date is Sunday, January 10. On behalf of my staff, I wish to extend my sincerest apologies and hope that everyone understands.

Please pass the word to any/all that Stafford will occur on the final day of CCs, Sunday, Jan 10. I do hope that you guys see this as good news. Enjoy the snow!!

No need to apologize. It was definitely the right call. We couldn't get out of our block by tomorrow morning anyway. Mother Nature most assuredly got the donk this weekend.:rolleyes:

I doubt we will be at the Beach, but we should be at Staunton. Everyone stay safe.:thumb::cool:
 
A CC draws people from a large area. It looks like to roads will just be freesing tonight and tomorrow, so I think you made the right call. Even if the roads were fine, a lot of our cars and driveways will still be covered in snow.

@GH: He is trying to say that our recent storm is not related to global warming. It definitely relates, you can't just ignore such a large storm in any considerations, but whether or not the storm was caused by it may be a different matter.

I can go to the one at VA beach, i normally wasnt able to go cause of work, but i got fired so now i can. Win?:confused:

2) notice the ? at the end, my english book sayz that ? are used at the end of questions or statments that you are unsure about, i was unsure if global warming was a myth or not due to the snow, NOT stating beyond a doubt that it was a myth
 
Stafford now (correctly) appears on the go-pokemon tournament locator on its rescheduled date, 1/10.

You were "fired," as in terminated for wrongdoing, or you were let go, as in your time as a seasonal temporary was finished and you may be able to work for them again in 5 months?

I meant to say caused, not related. It could be related, but you can't say 1 storm = global warming. That's more or less what I meant to say.

Sarcasm/jokes don't tend to go over very well in text. Add to that I tend not to pick up on sarcasm overly quick (unless it's stupidly obvious), and ya... you get the idea. :tongue:

You worded it a little weird. I don't have the exact quote right here, but how you worded it made it have a sarcastic sound to it.

One storm doesn't prove or disprove anything. When looking at evidence for global warming, you must look over THOUSANDS of years of data.
