Great time today at the beach!! A special shout out to NC/SC PTO Jeff R (Feraligatr) and kids Michael and Tracy for making the trip across state lines and playing with us today! As you can see from a couple of posts back, Mama R is a happy PokeParent tonight--great job Tracy! Zed M takes the seniors and I've been asked to not reveal the ID of our master's winner (other than he was an out-of-towner who stunned the field with a great Regigigas build!?!)
Brian L also made the trip from NC, one of Vince's St. Louis players was in town for the holiday and played--heck we had peeps from EVERYWHERE!!
Rumble continues to be a lunch break success--I think the store (again) sold out once we demoed and played a game.
Have a great week eveyone. See lots of you Saturday in Staunton!!!

It's all good. I promised Angelica that she was gonna call the "go or stay" shots this season and she said she wasn't ready for this one, so at home we stayed

That marks our halfway point (3 down, 3 to go) and our series attendance is now an impressive 130!!
BTW, my very first VA Beach CC that I ran as a PTO had a total attendance of 8!!

Great job by David and Family and Judges running the event yesterday!!!
It was great seeing everyone and had a blast playing...not too bad with a 7th place out of 24...gotta love it when paired with your son first round...LOL.
Great job by the Masters player who played Gigas...just when you thought it was dead it comes back out of no where (I had not seen it since last years cities).

I wish we could have been there, but like he said...we wanted Angelica to have a choice.
David and Pam are an awesome team. We're lucky to have them in VA. :smile:

Yeah. That's a funny story.
Angelica was on the couch watching TV... I was at the table trying to build out a deck (and failing)
Everything was SO quiet. Finally, I'm like "what are you so into at that computer... " No answer.
I shrug and keep thinktanking.
She get up from the computer like 30 mins later and smiles. Then, tells Angelica, "Mommy's a Pokemon Professor."
She exits the room.
Angelica and I are left looking at each other like "whuhhh ?? "
Her score was higher than mine :/
What's the food scene like ? Are we talkin' college town proximity ?

ahhh, Mr. W with the REALLY important questions! To be honest, I have no idea since I've never been to the store.... Juanita A played "advance scout" for me and found the spot for the benefit of our Charlottesville and Harrisonburg players. I'll get on the nuvi today and see if I can find anything. [Edit: done-looks like burger/pizza/coffee all within a mile or so of the shop. Most of it is on 250 so you'll drive near to it on your way in if coming from Richmond]
As I said in Post 1, the store is downtown so there is NOT a parking area adjacent to the shop.. But, there are nearby decks and parking is free on Saturday. So.....don't bring your 50 lb trunk of cards to trade. Keep it light on Sat, folks!

ohhh, and an off-topic FYI: League WILL happen Friday night! [DEL]Double[/DEL] Triple marks (snow on the 18th and Christmas on the 25th has put us 2 Fridays behind)! Get yer Claydol(s) for Saturday! Rumor has it that Patrick will actually (gasp) be there to playtest!!
