Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

VS System

But the cards you need to buy for decks sell for 18cents...
It seems really cheap since apparently you don't even need savage beatdown anymore.

FYI I went 2-4 in my vs (sealed) debut yesterday (PCQ).
Not too bad, I don't think! The game is fun.

good job in your debut!:thumb:
I went 0-6 in my VS debut:frown:

My Vs debut happened at a Man of Steel draft when only two people showed up for Magic. After a quick rules explanation, I, uh, didn't draft anything that cost more than 4.

So, yeah, there are many differences between it and Magic.

I kinda wanted to try Vs after the demo...but no one plays around here. It looks like an interesting spin on Magic, but the card frames are really, annoyingly clunky. And the art varies too loosely between respectable and disappointing (not unlike the Pokémon TCG...)

I am a heavy casual player, over 10 decks. but only 2-3 rare intesive. It is easy to make fun themed decks with just commons and uncommons. I am a little bias on the subject, since I am a comic fan and love this game. 2 other great VS sites are VSrealms.com and metagame.com. Wouldnt mind a VS-gym site. To tell the truth, its really a spin on the game Wildstorm(after the comic company by Jim Lee) which came out about 94 and printed 5-6 set. This was my first CCG game love and is still a great game.
And much of the community thinks UDE is using yu-gu-oh funds to start it, but after that, marvel and DC have a big support with other companys on the way(Image). With that big of a pool of info to draw cards and characters from, VS is going to be around for awhile, dispite the great prize support.
vsrealms even has online game engine sim to apprentice but much better.

I've seen a couple of games of VS played, but haven't played it myself. The games consisted of an Arkham deck versus a Dr Doom deck, with Doom winning almost all of the games. It was a quite a while ago, so no idea how things work nowadays, but Doom would try and either use a Gamma Bomb or Power Cosmic or something with a third-level Doom himself for the win.

So, uh, yeah, that's the extent of my experience with the game, watching a couple friends play against each other, having seen a grand total of two deck types.

I'm thinking about picking up VS system. Does anyone else here play? Do you have any good resources (forums, etc) for me? Any tips in general about the game?

VS system????????????????????????????????????????????????

Edited no need for umpteen "?"'s to stretch the page.

Always wanted to build an Arkham deck, but never got quite enough DC Origins... X-Statix was my main affiliation while I played Constructed. They were fun to play, always killing themselves and each other for some reason. Of the current crop I've been most tempted to build a Morlocks deck, their commons seem very consistent and their play style is suicidally dangerous, which is nice.

X-Statix are fun but Squadron Supreme is even better. Getting the ability to smash you oppenet becuase you have no cards in you hand is sweet:thumb:
Teen Titans is lame:nonono:

The Magic Prerelease is on tomorrow but the Two-Headed Giant Sneak Peek is on next weekend... at the same time and in the same room as the Infinite Crisis prerelease! Which no-good deity is responsible for this scheduling train wreck???

I'll probably go to the Magic one, that's always been my priority... I did play Vs seriously when X-Statix were around, but decided it was too expensive to stay current in both. Vs is cheap to get into, but like any card game you'll ned to stay current and that takes money and effort.

I've Played VS since MOR has been around ^_^ it's such a great game i strongly reccommend it! The mechanics are great and prize support for the game is awesome. The only real downside to the game is Teen Titans has been a dominent archetype since DOR aka the second set with only curve sentinels putting a dent into it XD so as we can all tell since Teen Titans will be getting their own DC set after Crisis umm yeah It's around for good XD In able to play competavily in this game you have to build metagame decks as sad as that is very few random decks win.... Although i play JLI and love it. I hate squadron for anyone here who plays...

10K next week? where?

btw cna u explain your 2nd deck strategy?

for your CE deck

remove
Wolverine, new fantastic four [kinda useless IMO]
ghost rider, new fantastic four

add
invisible woman [4 drop,reinforcement effect]
flame torch [MFF]

u should know your CE combo right? try stall for the 1st few turn till turn 8 then do the infinity silver sufer effect.IMO i dont prefer to use robot sentry now since the other alternate 5 drop is Kristoff von doom [MXM] its effect is not bad at all ....If u have enemy of my enemy, then u can replace the Faces of doom with it
