As long as Aerodactyl EX is in play, your opponent
can't play Pokemon Tool cards. Remove any Pokemon Tool
cards attached to your opponent's Pokemon and put
them into his or her discard pile.

Seriously Jermy it isn't worth it to argue with people on here, they just obviously have no sense of what decks are dominating the format and CC's. I'm not a person who plays BAR and expects to beat EVERYTHING, i don't even play BAR, in fact i have came up with some very cool rogue decks and quite possibly one that is Tier 1. BAR is also not overrated or overhped, if anything is that GARDY is. Gardevoir has never scared me, sure it is a good deck, but it has its fair share of problems and without a good player playing it, it suffers miserably.

Well the deck technically got 1st in St. Louis today.
Ummm first off who are you? And 2nd off Meganium45 does not play this deck, so lets not flame him or Newman. Newman got 3rd in the FAT..So its not like some loser is playing the deck. ALSO Have you ever played against it? If not how can you base how it plays by just reading the decklist? That isn't a challenge as I dont play the deck and dont intend to, so dont say "oh play me and i'll beat you with whatever"
You people only base the decks on if they can beat the 4 big decks BAR, Amphy, Garde, and Sceptile. But frankly those aren't very popular, and aren't played in large amounts in any tournaments that I've seen. So why does it really matter if you only play like one in the whole tourney? If this deck beats everything else then I would say its a very good deck. And if you dont.. Ya ok

For the record - the big whale deck is now 16-3 in major tourneys, 2nd overall in St. Louis, 2nd overall in Chicago and 1st overall in Collinsville, IL.
That is QUITE a track record for any deck. Yes, there is only ONE player out there playing it right now, but he is a darned good player whose credentials match up against anyone in the game right now, except maybe the Brooks if they still play.
Like Colin said, 3rd overall at the FAT, he has won cash in 2 of my 3 $200 cash tourneys I throw, he just flat wins. No more needs be said.
The deck is a real shocker that it works as well as it does. It eeked out against a Niniken on Saturday, lost to a kingdra EX, but basically ROLLED everything else in its path....
We'll see how well it does after the next expansion.

Maybe I missed something here.. but what is the basic strategy to this?
Stall with fossils until ready? bring up clean WailordEx with 4 energy to do 100 and hopefully KO that active. Turn Ends. Wailord takes damage. Opp Turn Ends. Super Deep Dive to remove 3 and bring up fossil to stall. Rinse/Repeat. Heal damage with trainers. Build up WailordEx #2 on bench. Did I miss something?

Yea kids these days...what are they thinking. I mean of course Wailord beats Rayquaza and all those other decks. By the time they get 1 Rayquaza out we will already have 4 Wailord ex on the bench each with 4 water energy because Wailord ex is such a fast attacker and Rayquaza cannot compare with its speed. And if we see an Ampharos, we use pokemon nurse and discard all of our wailords energy. In your face Ampharos! And if we're up against Wobbuffet? Then comes from the miracle from the sky. A Base set Blastoise shows up out of nowhere and we get a Wailord RS out with 5 energy in 1 turn!

THE FOSSILS IS THERE FOR ESTABLISHING 2 TO 3 WAILORDS AND IF I LIKE FOUR OF THEM AMPY THAT IS WHY I PLAY WEAKNESS GAURD TWO FOR ONE THAT WORKS FOR ME AND DONT FORGET 14 HEALING CARDS OOOOH I KEEP FORGETING DITTO AND CRYSTAL SHARD WABEE CANT TELL YOU HOW MANY OF THEM I HAVE BEETEN THIS PAST WEEKEND THE LIST GOES ON THERE IS ONLY ONE DECK I HAVE CONSISTENTLY LOST TWO ONLY TWICE AND THAT IS A WELL BUILT KINGDRA. LASTLY THOUGH THERE IS NOT ENOUGH TYPING ROOM TO TELL YOU HOW BAD I WOULD LIKE TO PLAY YOU AND WHY MY DECK CONSISTENTLY WINS 16-3.
