Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Washington State City Championships 2010 - 2011

I'm probably gonna play Sablelock for states...

I think it will do good vs. most metagame decks because of Disruption...

Dark is the way to go I am thinking about Hochcrow SV Diagla SP X That should hopefully outspeed them, I dont know thought it will be tough to take six prizes before they lost zone six of your pokemon. I am SO SO SO SO wishing for a lost zone counter to magically appear in our next set.

Interesting idea.

I think Sablelock will be good vs. LostGar, and since I will play Honchkrow SV that will help me get easy prizes (Honchkrow power for a cheap HP pokemon, then dragon rush...)

I'll be testing flat regigigas, speed regigigas, sablelock regigigas and gdos regigigas.

I actually beat lostgar last night with my current gigas list using judge and mesprit to lock them down while I took a quick 3 prizes. Once that's done they have to seeker EVERY turn for 6 turns to beat me before I take my last 3 prizes. (they aren't hitting gigas so I don't need to sac and catastrophe gives intensive not to sac fairies).

My next strategy has to be pitching pokemon with regice, or flat out walling gengar with a single gigas X while avoiding hurl.

This is starting to give me a headache...

You're testing with a 4-3-4 gengar prime list right? I mean, all primes? What do you think about going to 3-1 Prime/X for the level down?

You know, I was just thinking about this. My understanding is that the lostgar strategy dominated/is dominating the Japanese format, so they might be due a little something to balance their meta via a promo card or two around the same time CoL is released here.

Seeing as how the CoL set list seems super-secret, we may get our wish.

The 4-3-4 All prime seems WAY more dominant right now. The x is pointless if you're focusing on hurl like you should be. Your biggest threat in my head was Dialga G, but upon further thought, I realized shutting off my body isn't that big a deal considering gengar wont be killing anything.

I DID beat my list with Gigas though and I will say that's ONE matchup that would be decent for teh X, but adding the X hurts consistency.

About printing a counter. It's WAYYYY more than possible. What we REALLY need is something new that has the Shadow Charge Poke Power from Weavile SW...

Lol...

Legitimately tho, I'm debating using regice to ditch pokemon then just wall them with gigas and rescue/sac every once in a while if they start curse dropping me. Dunno if it'll work tho, but I'ma be trying it

What? I'm totally serious, just ask kenny what I was using at trevor's christmas party.

Hmm, six pokemon... shuppet, shuppet, uxie, uxie, bat, bat. OH MY GOODNESS IT'S SHUPPET DONK

Its not our fault, Cities are over and no one has created a Washington States thread. (or an Oregon one for the matter)

because we definitley want to go and discuss what strategies to use in our competitive pre-release tournaments?

I don't see the issue in talking about the next premier event that matters now that cities are over, at least until we have a real thread for it.
