Wow what a cazy night of Pokemon that was. First of all DJ's will allways be special to our family becuase two years ago it was the place were our Duaghter made her Pokemon playing debut as a 4 1/2 year old. She won her first ever game and finished 1-2. Now two years latter she went 2-1 and finsihed in 4th place. It was the 4th time she won packs this spring, including her 1st place finish in Bremerton.
Then the epic top cut, I got to think that this could probably be a first in Pokemon history. The top cut was not only made up of 2 married couples, but thoes same couples faced off against eachother in the Top 4. Matt Dias and Penny went undefeated 4-0 in swiss and me and Rose Dias were the top 3-1 playes. So the Dias's Battled eachother and the Anderson's Battled eachother. With Rose and Penny defeatiing thier husbands and facing off in the finals. After two very close battles. Penny was able to hold off Rose's verry good T-tar deck and claim her first every tournement championship. So now Sarah and Penny have battleroad titles, I guess that makes me the 3rd best player in the family now.
Another funny side note, Pennys first 3 battles in swiss were all fellow Phoneix Games Gym Lege members, she defeated me in round one (yes Penny beat me twice yesterday) then she fought Jerin H in R2 and Kodi S. in R3.
Thanks Terry for staying so late into the night, so that we can have a fund evening of playing pokemon.

The real sad part is that we both new every single card that was in each of our wives decks.

What an great end to an exciting season of pokemon. 3 tournements in 3 days. You can ask for anything better then that.
Our family had our best performance ever. Sarah, Penny and I each won a victory medeal ( I dont have to trade and EX or an X for one for the first time ever..... and I have some for trade to boot)
Sarah went 5-0 in swiss today at Blue Highway games, won her T4 Match to go 6-0 for the day and then took fellow Gym Member Ian W to a third hard fought game before he capured the Battle Road Championship. So she went 6-1 and in counting actual games played in the top cut she went 8-2. Personally I have no idea how she can concetrate so long, I played andwent 4-0 today winning in a one prize sudden death match against a very tough opponent in Polo L and I was exhausted.
Overall this was the best Battle Road performance ever for Phoneix Games Gym. We had masters players Kodi, Ryan, Penny and Jeff take home Vicory Medals, And junior players Sarah and Ian won campionships as well. We also had multiple T4 and 2nd place finishes.
We wish Ian and Trevor the best of luck at Nationals as I beleive that they will be the only Phoenix Games Gym members partcipating there this year.
The Anderson's will be looking foreward to participating in the Grinder again this year and the we will be anticipating annother great year of Pokemon MD-on for Fall Battle Roads in October.
