Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Werewolf Issue Resolution

(early in the game everyone just wants to look active, for example)

These 10 tells of when someone is lying will improve your early game by leaps and bounds. As flaky as they sound, they're legit. The two most reliable are the non-usage of contractions and over emphasis. Sure, you can avoid them if you're trying really hard, but in the heat of the moment when you are 1v1 fast and furious, if someone is scum one of these tells will become very apparent! It's human nature and unavoidable.

Eh. Since I post during weird times, I'm usually not in such situations. When I'm posting as anti-town, I do my best to avoid things that I know the absolute truth value to. I can't lie about something that I don't know, so I post about that instead. If you want to catch someone, focus on an issue, and make sure they answer the question. Dodging/ignoring the question is a sign that they've got something to hide.

The other problem with that is when you've got someone that's good enough to make up their own version of things, and remember it to the point where they're convinced it's the truth. It's really hard to pull off, but possible (I did not do this during the last game, nor am I anywhere near good enough to do this).

It's not that hard. Have your fakeclaim from day 0, and live your role. I am cabd, Wooper the Town's Even-Night Hider, nice to meetcha.

And that would raise the first tiny red flag for the " I am"

The first two sentences you were giving truthful advice. The last two were fabrications. See how that works?

Wish I could help you, but my priest claim in XVII was almost entirely on the spot. I'd just left a couple of convenient crumbs behind in case I needed them and managed to make them fit the game. So... lucky? I dunno.

That's very useful...

Another way to catch a liar if you have some sort of evidence is to question them, and then as they're telling their story, introduce your evidence so they'll have to keep changing their story. If they're telling the truth, this shouldn't be a problem for them.
