Werewolf XVIII: Dimensional Clash: Wolves/Outlaws Win!

I don't like how DP and waynegg are buddying each other a little bit. Even if you guys are friends or something, this is not something you should do if you are town.

HD--that last posts disturbs me. I don't see how that fits into the conversation. It seems as if you meant to post that somewhere else and are talking to someone specific (with out naming or quoting them). Are you in some sort of mason/group/wolves? You also say, "us." What's up?

Personally, I still see waynegg as scummy. I also do not see Vablakes as scummy looking. I will still consider him, however.

  • Diaz- admittedly was going to defend me when I looked scummy, but was ready to lynch me once I revealed my ploy
  • Sandslash7- as enumerated in posts 993 and 997. again, what Benzo noted in post 1004
  • Human Destroyer- rushing the vote for a quick bandwagon and early end to the day phase. been looking scummy to many all game, too many posts to point out each one.
  • pokemonrocks777- if I'm nailing JewelQuest for pop voting, I gotta nail him to. post 1021.

Again, I did not 'pop in to join bandwagon'. I didn't vote until I was sure, and then I bothered to back up my vote.

Also, that line does not fit the tune.....

You watched as the day unfolded, with Waynegg and Vablakes being targets of discussion. Tempers flared, and weapons were at the ready, but nobody drew them this day. Due to a lack of decision, there was no lynch.

You head off to your sleeping spot, ready to wait for the next day.

I am completely new to this game, and I would like to give it a try. Is there any way I can be a replacement? I will read through from the very beginning to get caught up on everything that is going on. My dad (Benzo) said I should give this a try and he explained to me that him and I are not to discuss anything about this game what-so-ever and I know nothing as to what he knows. I am 14 years old, and looking to boost my logic.

I will do the best I can, and I look forward to playing :)

The night seemed to drag on forever, you couldn't get to sleep, no matter how hard you tried. Eventually, you sit up and watch out for anyone who might want to hurt you.

As the moon reaches its peak, you notice someone climbing the tower where Vegitalian was hanging. There appeared to be another body with the figure, and you watch with horrific fascination as the body is tied up next to the first.

You feel the floor vibrating slightly beneath your feet, but it quickly gets fainter. Moments later, you hear a shriek, and then nothing. You break out into a cold sweat, then retreat to a corner, hoping you will last the night.

The sun rises in a brilliant mix of red and pink, shedding light on a massacre. One, a bloody death. The others, completely flat. There were reports of a Snorlax wandering the grounds the previous night.

As you approach the bloody, glittery corpse, you see that it was Diaz.

He was:

You are Miror B, the... shiny... dancing king from Orre. You care only about your dancing, so you were rather annoyed when some stupid wind snatched you away from your practice stage and dumped you off in some stupid castle in the middle of nowhere. There is not a decent sound system to be found! While looking for a half-way decent dancefloor, you were approached by a very confused creature. It motioned to its companion, who asked you to join its group of... assassins. Well that is no fun! But you accepted anyway, because you were told that if they succeeded you would be returned to your own studio, away from all the freaks and weird people who keep you from your dancing practice.

Mirror (Passive): Any investigative roles that target you will see you as if they were looking at themselves (win condition, name, role, etc.).

You are an Outlaw with (the oompaloompas). You may communicate with each other through PM, IM, email, Skype, etc. at any time during the night phase.

The flattened corpses seem to be Innocent Shine and Moo2. You see that they were:

Innocent Shine

You are Mew, the small, pink, ADORABLE kitten. Who would want to harm you!? Mewtwo. The old sourpuss has reverted to his old ways, so you are enjoying a game of hide-and-go-seek with him to try to get him to have some fun! Although he might just kill you if he catches you... but that is half of the fun! When that weird wind brought you to a castle, complete with a moat and a forest around it, your eyes lit up with excitement. So many new hiding places! But Mewtwo decided to recruit some of the creatures around you to find and kill you, so you formed your own group! What fun! But the fun and games are at a close, and now Mewtwo needs to die. You will probably end up finding Dialga or Celebi to bring him back later, but for now, he needs to know why you do not get the origin of all Pokemon annoyed at you.

Missing Link (Active/Passive): 1. Once during the night, you may choose one player. For the next three nights (not including that night), any night actions that affect that player will also target you and any other linked players, and vice versa. Players who become linked will not be informed of the link.
2. You have a suit of armor that will save you from any one kill (excluding the lynch).

Moo2

You are Urthstripe the Stong, a Badger Lord of Salamandastron. During the midst of a vermin invasion of your precious mountain, you were summoned away by a powerful force and brought to a castle filled with creatures you had never seen before. One of them approached you, asking for your assistance in ridding his land of evil creatures with the promise to return you to your own land after your mission was complete. You accepted, and with your aura of command, you will give your all to do what is just.

Badger Lord (Active): Once during the day, you may post Lynch: <player of your choice>. The day will end and that player will be lynched. You may not use this more than one time.

Jellyfisher was found, very much alive, but looking somewhat weakened.

Vablakes was seen, hanging from the battlements next to Vegitalian.

Vegitalian and Vablakes are unable to post during this phase.

Innocent Shine and Moo2 were modkilled for inactivity (yeah, I'm serious about that).

And with that, begin Day 3. Day 3 ends Saturday, January 12th at 11:55 PM (EST)
 
Interesting to see that we have another independent group, Outlaws. Outlaws like wolves and enforcers have night roles and can talk to each other.
Three Enforcers have been killed. Enforcers are down to few remaining members.
Thank goodness Moo2 did not get the chance to use his or her ability.
Someone must really hate or scare of Vegitalian as this two straight days where he cannot post.

Mewtwo is in this game and is leading his own faction.

Should the town try to find and target the remaining Enforcers to completely destroy one threat or should the town stay the course and hunt for werewolves? I still prefer to target werewolves as they are the only ones that can be proven to have kill roles.

That was a quote from GLaDOS (Portal 2 for those that aren't familiar), I was referencing to waynegg's softclaim when I said "put our differences behind us".

Also, just to emphasize, we should be lynching any and all anti-town factions as often as possible, regardless of Outlaw, Enforcer, Pokemon, whatever.
 
I believe with the non lynching of Vablakes, we may have caught a lucky break. This night update proved most useful to the town.

The three main things we learned:

1. There is another group, the outlaws.
2. So far, enforcers don't seem particularly anti town from what their night roles do.
3. Pokemon do NOT have to have the "Pokemon Wins" win condition.

A few other things:

Jelly is back. We can't assume that he has full control of his actions, or is the same alignment as when he first went down. We'll have to be careful.

Vegi is silenced again. This seems somewhat strange, though I don't think we can do much to say WHO is doing it, since it's still way too much WIFOM to make any judgements.

Vabalkes is also silenced, which is strange as well. I am currently undecided on what to do with him, since we now know there is a decent likelihood that he may actually be a townie.

We know that Pokemon do not only have the Pokemon wins win condition. Previously, we had said that Vablakes must be lying because we had made the assumption that all pokemon had (or likely had anyway) the pokemon wins win condition. The other reason for pushing his lynch (other than general bad/scummy play) was to see if he flipped something other than a pokemon win condition.

He may be lying, he may be telling the truth. The bottom line is it's possible he IS telling the truth, now that we know that pokemon can belong to different factions, so we must now take this into consideration in addition to the previous reasons for lynching him before reaching any decisions.
 
Oh look everyone! Another day without a lynch... :nonono:

I find all of this talk about killing wolves very ironic as we can't kill any of them without lynching them. I guess I am just going to have to be the one to hunt down the inactives. If we don't get rid of people who aren't voting, we will never get the required number of votes to lynch. NOT VOTING IS ANTI-TOWN.

Wow, 15 players just plain not voting.

Here is What We Know:

Jellyfisher, Vegitalian, and Kirbyking were physically unable to vote.
Innocent Shine, and Moo2 were plain inactive and were mod-killed.

PMysterious, Shinori, Pokemonrocks777, HomeofMew, Chanman, Jason, AAM, Desfunoc, sheepbro, and Levity were all at least one post or one PM active, but chose to not vote.

There is a good chance at least one if not more in this list are wolves/anti-town factions.

I only had to ISO the first candidate (PMysterious) to see that D1 he screamed "LYNCH SOMEONE" while withholding his vote D2. He probably was faking it D1 to look like town, which is why his sentiments didn't carryover into D2.

Lets not make the same mistake we did D1 or D2.

No, DP I don't agree with you that not lynching Vablakes was a benefit. He could very well still be a wolf, just because we have seen pokemon be other factions, we still haven't seen a pokemon-wolf, so he could very-well be one and his play matches that of a wolf. We probably missed out on lynching a wolf, and now since he can't defend himself/give us a clearer read it makes things even worse, not better.
 
I never said it was a benefit, no lynch is never good. I just said that it's possible that we may have gotten lucky, and wound up getting good information on the matter of pokemon anyway. The night worked very favorably for the town, and it could have easily been a lot worse with a non lynch. He may be a wolf, he may not be a wolf. I like to take into consideration all possibilities before lynching someone.

We need to become more organized with our scum hunting. A few thoughts I had for what might reveal some interesting patterns.

Cross check low posters with bandwagoners.
Cross check low posters with the people who voted for waynegg.
Start trying to find people who would want vegitalian silenced for 2 days in a row.


On a side note, while I am not defending the play at all and discourage inactivity, Homeofmew and Jason always plays like this, town or otherwise. I'm not sure you'll get much of a read from either one of them unless they're pressured.

PMysterious on the other hand is a bit strange, since he usually is an active voter. Checking his previous posts and trends may prove useful.

scorri does not like this post one bit. scorri did not see this post until the night, but the way that pokemonrocks777 unvoted after waynegg called pokemonrocks for pop voting and apologized looks like pokemonrocks is trying to appease waynegg and make it look like pokemonrocks' vote wasn't as bad as it actually was. scorri does not like that reaction at all.

Just to reiterate what PH said while adding in my own thoughts:

Jellyfisher, KK, and Vegitalian were unable to post, and therefore unable to vote.
I_S and Moo were modkilled for inactivity (Moo had a replacement request that was never fulfilled).
Sheepbro and desufnoc requested replacement.
This is HoM's and Jason's normal playstyle.

That leaves:

PMysterious - A lot of tunnel vision Day 1, then nothing Day 2.
Shinori - Said he forgot about the game, then left again.
PR777 - Seems to understand almost nothing about the game; voted waynegg but almost immediately unvoted him.
Chanman - Hasn't made a single game-related post; I'm surprised he hasn't been modkilled yet.
AAM - Replacement for Scott (IIRC) that hasn't posted since replacement.
Levity - Promised a reply that never came; 3 game posts total.

Vote: Shinori

I think this'll do for now.
