Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

What do you think will be played at Worlds?

I've tested against Luxape before and never lost.

Regardless of player skill, if this is your result, then you probably haven't played enough games of the matchup.

Not to say I disagree with you, but I find it interesting that you hold an undefeated record versus something that beat four Palkia variants in order to win the US National Championship.

Yeah, one sucks. The other is good. You figure out which is which.

Um, they are both not that great.

Negative. Neither are very good at all.

I agree.

See, I have to disagree. First off, Pooka beat 6 Palkia Variants, but only a handful played Azelf MT and the Toxicroak Promo. While I am not saying that changes the matchup a lot, it is an intersting fact. I still feel that Luxape is favored in the matchup aslong as they can out last the lock, but that is just me. I also think that playing smart also helps. However, this is all negated unless you get a good start.

Anyways, this is just my thoughts and they shouldn't count for anything because I haven't tested the matchup on way or another yet. I expect that it will happen in the near future however, and I can give better thoughts on the subject after I do.

Hmm... Gechamp can be DECENT with a good list and good techs. But good? No. Machamp... If it gets good early game it can beat SP but once T2 is over if the games still going machamp loses

FBC (feraligatr bronzong claydol) is one of the most underrated decks and I dont know why ore people dont play it. You might have to play some bubble coat for luxray but doing 80-120 a turn with energy cyclone is just so overwhelming. might not be the choice for grinder but id be very surprised if none top 4 worlds

Uh, what? I hope your joking. I think you have major issues with Palkia Lock, which I think will see major play at Worlds. If you can avoid them maybe, but I am not sure I am confident in a deck like that.

Beedril may beat Machamp, but it hardly has a good matchup vs Luxape. 30/70 imo

I disagree with that matchup statistic. I find the matchup to be 40-60 to 45-55. Their favor, of course. From testing great amounts, Beedrill is looking quite safe to me.

Going into worlds, the three decks I'm making sure I can beat are gengar, Luxray/infernape, and Palkia (with additional Luxray, additional Dialga, and additional luxray + dialga).

Do you guys agree these will be the most popular decks?

scratch making sure you beat Gengar for either Machamp or Beedrill

As far as Stage 2 decks go we will probably see

Beedrill>Machamp>Gengar

JMO, but making sure you bear Gengar wouldn't be bad by any means necessary
