what one card would you like created or revived and why

Windstorm because there is no hard counter to tools, especially unown G. The proliferation of tools does not make the pokemon that have tool destroying attacks more playable. And Unown G is the ultimate tool that prevents many decks from even attempting to employ a strategy. Unown G is the most unfun card in the game.

Because a format with nothing but ggar / champ would be sooo fun, right...

Base Set Blastoise! It's probably my all-time favorite card, plus it has great synergy with Blastoise PT! Squirtle/Wartortle/Blastoise for the next classic cards after the birds, please? ;)

I'd like to see Gust of Wind back. That would add a little more uncertainty in using techs that just support from the bench, or Pokemon that are retreated with high hit points on them. You could never be sure if they might just be popped into the active position. It would add another strategy to getting at those cards (in addition to sniping the Bench). I know there is Warp Point, but there, the defender gets to choose which Pokemon to bring up while with Gust of Wind, the attacker chooses.

It might also help against big attack Pokemon that get all powered up and have super high hit points. Once they get into the active position, it is often game over. A Gust of Wind might give you a chance to recover.

Of course, it would still have a counter in the Switch card

I dont think they are going to reprint Gust of Wind anytime soon, if ever, and especially not in this particular format because then there would be no point at all of using Palkia Lv X or Pokeblowers.

Windstorm/Machamp or Dusknoir/Windstorm, would be much easier for Machamp decks to donk the basic pokemon. Unown G wouldn't be so big.

Those decks would be close to BDIF right now with all that discarding Unown G there.

Double Gust, Hyper Devolution Spray, Rocket's Sneak Attack, Multi Technical Machine 01, Goop Gas Attack... those would be interesting plays in this format. I'd also like to see Pokémon Retriever come back.

As for created cards... maybe a TM with Substitute (put X damage counters on itself, immune to damage effects, effect ends when an attack would affect it.)

I'd like to see Cursed Stone back. Space Center would be a nice anti Dialga G Lvl X counter, as well.

Castaway and Scott would be nice to have around again because they made things very versatile.

Master Ball is so much easier to actually use than Dusk Ball, plus it's much more effective in the current environment than Dusk Ball is.

For pure drawpower I'd like to see Steven's Advice and either Copycat or Mary's Request.

Finally, we need a Safeguard style Pokemon against SP's. The Pokemon would also have to be an SP itself, so Dialga wouldn't turn it's body off. Shuckle SP, Wobbofett SP, or Milotic SP would seem to fit best.

I don't recall the set it came from, but there was once a Tyranitar that did the same thing as Base Set Charizard, except it made the energies Dark. With Darkrai X, you could have a lot of fun with that...

I'd love to see new SPs for HeartGold and SoulSilver myself, seeing as (to my knowledge) we never received 'Gym Pokemon' for the Johto League. In fact, we didn't recieve them for Hoenn, either. D: And considering those were my two favorite leagues...

That Tyranitar is from the Expedition set. The body is Dark Aura and reads "All Energy attached to Tyranitar is :dark: Energy instead of its usual type." There was a Steelix that did the same for :metal: as well back then.

I would like to see special energies printed of our basic fire, water, grass, ect... I think it would be nice because dark and metal pokemon now have their own basic energies where they used to only have special so now I think it's time the other types get a turn with the special energy.

@Spirit of Mew: Ha, that's funny, as batmylashes and I were just discussing that. We ultimately came to the decision that it probably wouldn't be beneficial to all types, it could be a neat idea if done right.
