Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Whicker's Bickers - Round 2 (2007 Edition)

Southern Plains Regional 2005 (Arlington, TX): 109 players (17/28/63)
Southern Plains Regional 2006 (Houston, TX): 249 players (83/69/97)

I'm certain that Mike would post something similar to that. Far as I'm concerned, that's good enough of a reason to keep it near Houston. Increases accross the board ranging from 33% to over 400%, and an overall increase of nearly 150%.

That argument is faulty Bullados because if I recall correctly, the Houston area's number of players grew majorly near the end of the 2005 season and towards the beginning of the 2006 season. The increase from regional to regional is probably due to the fact that the player base grew so much. There is no reason to say that the people in Houston that started playing then wouldn't travel up to the Dallas area.

There I fixed your post for you.

First of all, you cannot assume that Arlington WON'T have approximately the same attendance as Houston UNTIL it is held there again. I've already provided logic to why the 2005 attendance was illegitimate for comparison, as there was a HUGE boom of players during the end of that season, after Regionals.
Secondly, this IS NOT Texas State Championships. If you are so happy about your 350 Texas attendance then hold Texas States in Houston and leave Regionals so it is accessible to the GREATEST PORTION of the REGION. With the player base as small as it is in Kansas, I believe we can assume the the Southern Plains Regional IS Texas and Oklahoma. Leaving the Regional Championship ONLY open to Texas is a bad decision at this point, and I do not doubt that too many people can tell me that this is the most accomodating spot for Texas and Oklahoma while providing logical reasoning for it at the same time.
Also, since attendance IS such an important thing to everyone, then Arlington makes the most sense anyway. The Houston area, the Dallas area, and Oklahoma have the three biggest player bases in the region, and all are within three hours or less with the location in Arlington or somewhere else in the Dallas area. Regionals in Houston only allows for a two of these three so allowing the third are to come, then you are increasing the population even more.

Essentially, the Dallas area is the best location for the Southern Plains Regional.

Flights booked just need that open invite to stay at Cookies house along with the the down home cooking...

You don't give up do you? You're like Whicker, lol. Everyone in Texas KNOWS that Team Cook Sweet Mama doesn't cook. As a matter of fact, Team Cook Anthony and I just cooked up some good ribs. YUMMY. If Sweet Mama cooks, it gets burnt.

Come on Arizona, come on. These Texas AND Oklahoma players need someone to spank around.

You make it sound like were coming down their to let you have your way with us, THINK AGAIN!!!
Last year it went to Florida , 2007 it goes to the Valley of the Sun. Arizona Heat 4 the WIN!!!
Wonder if we could sweep???

Hopefully I will be able to make it to this. It would be my first major tourney since the Emerald prerelease. Absoltrainer recently got me back in the game.

Game On Texas!!! Here We Come!!!

Big words from Arizona, but not as BIG as TEXAS. Y'all can't handle Texas and Oklahoma. Easy wins with our Theme Decks, lol. Yawning about now, you're boring me Spookees.

Looking forward to the victories, oops, I mean seeing you.

No, I won't.
I'm going to be laugh so hard when all the Texans finally have to admit that ZERO Oklahomans showed up to the Texas and OKLAHOMA Regional Championship. After that, if Regionals remains in Houston for the following year, then I will be 100% convinced (compared to the 99% convinced I am now) that Mike Cook does not care about having Oklahomans attend his tournament.

So seriously, stop just SAYING that Oklahomans will be there, because there will be a MAXIMUM of two (which will be the Roys), and two is not good enough to say that you included Oklahomans. I mean come on, if there are more people from FLORIDA there then from OKLAHOMA, then there's a problem.
