Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Why is GG/Plox assumed DEAD?!

Yes, Agreed. Gengar could do tons of damage with just 1 energy card, and it will KO a pokemon every turn that has the weakness. Gengar is going to be one of the Huge decks next format, That's what I think.

Alright. I was wondering how this deck could get some speed. I was thinkin like a lunasol like thing. or weavilve but I dunno

I would like to note that Gengar's first attack places damage counters, as opposed to doing damage. This means you cannot apply weakness to the first attack. Sorry, but it is quite impossible to OHKO gardies with it...

No,no,no. It's Poltergeist we are all talking about, and if Gardy kills it, It might be knocked out also =p
Good thing gardevoir has low HP and the LvX has more but x2, Gengar would just need 2 trainers in opponent's hand with lake boundary to go for knock out
-I hope you understand more now =)

Gengar dosent want t OHKO Gardy with its first attack, its about placing damage and cleaning up with Gengar DP and Bronzong. Poltergeist is also the attack that can OHKO Gardy just by their opponents having 3 trainers/supporters/stadiums.etc

True. So weakness is not applied. So in the End gardy will still be there.

Nope I still agree with many in this topic.

G&G isn't dead but needs some new tricks:

best upcommers, Groudon & Mr. Mime, both stall and serve great purposes. If you start with a Ralts and a Mr. Mime and a Call energy your set up will be incredible fast and you'll have your set up fast via Claydol, Also Groudon is very nice the reason I will probably won't use it is the 3 retreat, with a early game / very late game warp point you could be in trouble. However it speeds up the Gallade.

Cheers,

Nice idea with gorudon, but seems a little risky.

I most try those ideas out.

Thank you.

Well Gowk, My post proves exactly why you don't post when your tired. I some how got it through my head this thread is why is Plox Abused to Death. My bad

The question is who wouldnt play Gengar IFDS?,it would outspeed and outclass Gardilade in every form of the game.

Azelf LVx makes it so no :psychic: pokemon has no Weakness so gengar wouldnt do anything to plox

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

Azelf Lv.X doesn't protect Gallade. :\

Gardie is easily KOed by Shadow Loom/Dance/Cursed Alloy, whether Azelf Lv.X is there or not. Starmie's Core Flash does something very similar when comboed with Bronzong.

The Gengar (DP and IFDS) combo will own Plox if it's still around when IFDS hits.

Why does everyone keep going on how such and such card from IFDS will kill so and so deck? We JUST got LA, lets focus on that first as IFDS won't come out until around November.
