WINNER INFO: Annual Midnight Mutant Booster Draft @Worlds Sat. 8/16

This was alright, but my pulls were AWFUL. Possibly the worst ever on a mutant event by anyone. I didn't really like that it was single elimination either, but I didn't have too much of a problem with that, because it was due to ho-w many people signed up. I wish they had announced if it was or not before the event.

As soon as we hit 50 players it was announced by myself the event would be single elimination. I am sorry if you did not hear it however when anyone asked at registration, this was announced again.

CONGRATS to MAGIC MEW, (Dillon) from Oregon. He was the Mutant Draft 2008 winner at 3 o'clock in the morning!
 
I am pretty sure that small clean up that required the room to be cleared did not help with things either. It was unfortunate that we could not run swiss, but the late hour prevented it. As it was, the staff of the mutant got out at about 3:15 am and had to be back up at 6am. Long day for us all, since we all worked during the Worlds Swiss on Saturday as well.

But, it was fun for us and the players, so that makes it worth it for everyone.

Did everyone get a pokegym die for playing? I wanted to play too just to get the coveted die, but a mom hanging around wouldn't be so cool, or so I thought. . . . Anyway, my son played but didn't get a die.

Hi everyone, thanks for making this a really great event. It was my first mutant draft (last year I was crazy enough to think that I needed sleep to play Pokemon) and I really enjoyed it. Thanks to Pokegym for sponsoring the event and giving out all the cool prizes, and a big thanks to the event staff who stayed up until 3:00 am.

I’ll see you all next year in San Diego!
 
Its been almost 2 weeks but i gotta say that was the BEST mutant draft i have EVER been to. I made 3rd round before being bumped by pikachu woman >< IT was fun to play and i got an infernape x which rocked. Thanks to all who organized it and to all who i had the pleasure of meeting and playing :)
