I stand corrected, though I've never seen one in my area or @ large events(and yes I have attend Regionals, Nat, Etc) even though I see the deck cards all of the place and know people with the them.

That would probably be because the deck boxes are pretty useless, they're like the theme deck ones of today.

I'm saying that you see ppl w/ the theme boxes cause new players almost always start out with a theme deck and therefore usually save that deck in the provided box. Very few ppl that play this game competetively spend $$ on WC decks and that is why you don't see them around as much. Not to mention the fact that once a person 'graduates' into protecting their cards, those small boxes don't have enough room for sleeved cards.

I know what you meant, but I am saying that in my area that type of people who buy the starter decks also buys the WC deck.

In my area the ppl that buy the starter decks don't usually stay in long enough to care about the WC decks.

They need to make some kind of WC deck exclusive product that can actually be USED. A die maybe,or sleeves even. If they want to stay away from cards, they could even offer a full sized aformentioned deckbox.

I don't buy either. Though anyone can proxy cards to test w/ alot cheaper than buying W/C decks.

True, and I do that too. It's just sometimes it's nice to be able to actually see the cards and this is a good way of doing so while still being cheaper than actually building the deck. (Ross deck for instance or luxchomp last season)

This year will be the first year that investing in World Championship decks will be really worth it. The format has not rotated since Worlds obviously so those decks still hold some value in teaching newer players the fine lines of competitive Pokemon. I always used Worlds decks in the past to help teach players how tough the world of the Championship series is and encourage them to build better decks.

there wasnt a rotation after worlds 2 years ago as well

According to the pokemon.com interview, David Cohen himself stated the deck to be a "fairly straightforward Reshiram deck" - if I've missed something, then ignore that. Still, didn't he run a quite thin Magnezone line?

I would love to see Ross' deck printed, but equally all top finisher decks are interesting. Anyway, I do hope Pokémon considers Ross' deck to be appropriate for print, or qualified for it. It's such a unique deck it's insane.
Junior and Senior top finishers' decks could prove quite interesting to play as well - notably I won't buy the WC decks since I have no clue about where to get them in Finland, and don't even know if I would be interested in playing a deck I can proxy anyway. Seeing the deck lists and hoping people will have fun with the Vileplume/Reuniclus will do.

I believe it was 3-1-3 zone. Not exactly thin to me but I dunno.
