Went to my first Pokemon prerelease, having played in other card games prerelease I found their rules to be very strick. After the 2nd round it was apparent that I had built my deck wrong and wanted to make changes, but when i went to get the energy I needed I was told that i could not change up my deck that it would be unfair to my opponents. I find this ludicrous for a prerelease. I don't see why i cant make adjustments to my deck to try and make my experience better, it wouldnt affect the amount of packs i would get so what is the big deal the set just came out and the likelihood of someone cheating would be highly unlikely

My pulls where a Emolga EX, and my friend cracked a Xenyares EX

1. It would be unfair as it is technically teching to beat your opponents.
2. Did you mean Xerneas or Yveltal?

Oh no, it was a full art (forgot to write that). That's the weird part. They wanted the FA Venusaur more than FA Yveltal. And was one of two people that got one.

That was the case in our league too. We had a dude trading his Xerneas ex FA for a Venusaur ex FA. Others were trying to get the regular Venusaur ex's. Apparently there's some potentially promising deck that a lot are excited to build with Venusaur ex.

That and the fact that FAs for Yveltal and that won't really see a huge increase in case a deck is built because of tins, so people might want to invest early in venusaurs?

The only deck I can see be made with Venusaur is a Virizion deck. Considering how M-Venusaur has monstrous HP combined with Verdant Wind and healing cards and such, it can tank like no one's business. The turn end from Mega Evolving seems like less of a drag in this case.

Let's not speculate. People do stupid trades all the time, especially children.

I'm going to try and get my league to do another $30 6 pack draft this weekend. It's a blast regardless if they're already out.

The 4-pack drafts are just terrible.

Gourgeist didn't cause me any real problems. It technically ended one game against me, but there were plenty of ways it could've gone down and basically came down to who top decked what they needed. (He needed an energy since he had previously retreated Gourgeist, I needed a basic Pokemon for Raichu.) Ekans and Swirlix, however, managed to single-handedly beat me once each. Heh, one match, we basically donked eachother each game. Well, like two-hit knockouts, but still, only Pokemon in play. The entire best-of-three took like 5 minutes, lol.
