Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

You have got to be kidding...

Early spoiler for Arceus Lvl. X:

Arceus Lv.X - Colorless - HP 170
Level Up

Poke-Power: Doom Drop - Once during your turn, when you play Arceus Lv.X from your hand to level-up your active pokemon, you may look at the top 5 cards of your opponent's deck. Choose up to three of the cards there and place them face down next to the rest of your opponent's prize cards. These cards become additional prize cards. Shuffle the remaining cards into your opponent's deck.

[*] Hand of the Creator: 130 damage. Choose two of your opponent's benched pokemon. This attack does 100 damage to each of them. Then, choose one of the players at the table next to you. Choose two of the pokemon on his/her bench. This attack does 100 damage to each of those pokemon as well.

Weakness: none
Resistance: -30 fighting
Retreat: none

All of you who say pokemon just keep getting more powerful need to get a sense of perspective. The earliest pokemon were every bit as broken as they are now. Even moreso! C'mon. Base set alakazam? That bad boy, for a mere 3 psychic energy, tore opponents apart to the tune of 30....yeah, you read that right....30 damage. And...AND...flip for confusion. That was GG right there.

so, moral of the story? Always sit beside your friend when you go to a tourney. When he's in trouble, just help him out!

Yes, doing 100 to the person beside? What if everyone played it? Your opponent wouldn't only be the person across the table, but on the 2 tables beside you. *Techs in Dugtrio CG*

Arcues techs in CC!

It's even more broken than LBS, It's a basic lvl X, has energy-less attack, more damage output than lugia ex or steelix ex, and can even work by itself! 2-2 line is more than enough.

No card is ever too broken. There are so many brilliant people playing this game. The format will take care of itself.

There's always a balance, somewhere. You could never run it as a T2 deck because you'd mulligan so often, your opponent can't lose with the hand they'll see. Also, koing first was never the best play when reversal is no longer in the format. You going to run palkia X too?

Those were such better days, when it took 5 energy from a Blastoise just to do 90, and twenty for one was considered all that. I miss those days so very much.

I REALLY can't wait for that Mewtwo Lv. X right now. That's going to be a fun little card to play around with. Shame that the possibility of getting it would be in August, but eh, I guess it's better late then never.

You wouldn't ONLY attack w/ the one Mewtwo. Obv attaching twice, 100, attaching twice etc isn't viable but what this card has is options. Exactly what the uses of those options are we'll see when the time comes. Its true that this card probably won't be out until August so that would mean next season anyway. Seems too powerful atm though.

Hasn't anyone sussed that anything with a copy attack can blast it across the room? You'd need to run a few cards to get it from the discard.

Yes, and there is a few cards to get him back. TSD, NM, or Honchkrow Lv.X.

I like how people forgot it's... Mewtwo Lv.X

Hello Premier Ball... Don't you love being able to get LV.X pokemon from the deck or discard?

Oh, right. I forgot Premier Ball. I tend to forget new cards that we're going to get, but haven't been released yet. But anyway, the point of my post was that there are ways to get him back.

.....isn't there a Pokemon coming out soon that allows you to attach two Energy cards a turn, a la Harvest Bounty Venusaur?

If so, I smell something savory, and it's name is combo.
