Your Definition of "Rogue"

And how is Sablelock a roque then :p?

Sablelock WAS a rogue deck when it first came out and started cutting Regionals. Only a few people were playing it and there were loads of threads on here with people panicking and asking for 'the secret Florida list'.

Flygon/Torterra :3

Yeah, I guess that counts. People will put any old rubbish in Flygon, but that deck actually worked.

And Bronzong4 is the most underlooked card ever xD

Does 'underlooked' mean the opposite of 'overlooked'?

A true "rogue" deck is something that counters what is played, not just some random crap thrown together in hopes of it being good. It is a coutner to the metagame, plain and simple, maid to beat the best decks in the format.

Where as I disagree. Countering the metagame isn't really unique to being "rogue". The best rogue decks will counter the metagame, but if someone comes up with a generally unseen/unknown deck and still manages to Top 8 with it when they have not tailored it to the anticipated metagame, I'd still consider that a "rogue" deck.

baby mario hit upon an important point, though from the opposite direction. "Rogue" has become an inherently positive term instead of a neutral descriptor, much like people hear archetype and think it bad. It is because people have added to the definition when they shouldn't. Rogue =/= New deck perfectly tweaked for the metagame, just like archetype=/=net decker.

Great, another politics joke.....
No joke, just an insult to the half the American people and tax payers that don't agree with him or those clowns/mockers on comedy central or MS-NBC.
....
Regarding Rogue deck or build, it is the anti-archtype. Thus for a player that could play an top BDIF, tweaks or not, but want to try to win it therieown way. Rogue is completely original build. It is someone who rejects the archtype. Someone who could play the archtype, but doesn't. If they do play an archtype, it is there own build with absolutely no idea or cares what is in the "standard" build is.
.
The lux chomp, the easy way, folks, nothing fun, nothing original. I don't know how long SP has been out, but I have never played an SP deck in a tournament. TOO EASY.
