"n0 yooz dunt know wut yer talkig about seventeen (insert random pokegym meme that insinuates a vast knowlege of gym-dom here). i made a .deck thats going to win everygameee!!"

Weavile is supporting his decisions to not add/change certain cards, and he is doing so respectfully. He has every right to dispute a suggestion made, it's not like one can force him to change his deck.

And asking for help only to receive it with a closed mind when it is thoughtfully given is disrespectful and rude.

i see no closed-mindedness in his posts, nor anyting that was rude until you guys started throwing your weight around.

You've got to love how all the n00bs come out to support each other when someone dares to tell them that they're wrong.

If it matters to you that much whether people take your advice about a children's card game, you probably shouldn't be in the deck help forum.

Gotta love how all the "top-tier" people who haven't played anything but SP for the past three years are so eager to criticize those who might have some inkling how to build anything else...

How's ZPS's Palkia Lock matchup? I hear you're an authority on that.

Why does that even matter? If your not playing Sableye eye in this format then why play in the first place:thumb:

Everyone is already concentrating in HGSS-on, so test match-ups of pre HGSS is simply a waste of time.

Not sure where I was rude and close-minded. I listened to you guys' advice. My Donphan tech changed from lanturn to kingdra to yanmega, in just a week. That alone is proof that your advice influence my decisions in this deck. Yes I know this deck isn't the best in the world, and nowhere did I say "n0 yooz dunt know wut yer talkig about seventeen (insert random pokegym meme that insinuates a vast knowlege of gym-dom here). i made a .deck thats going to win everygameee!!"

Anyways, back to the deck. I have fixed the trainer section with Suicidal Pikachu's suggestions. I added the cards up afterwards and got a total of 58 cards. So does anyone have a suggestion for the 2 cards? I put energy search in for now. Anyone know of any other techs for donphan? I don't really want to stall all the time with yanmega.

Has Umbreon ever been considered for this deck? I know it's x2 weak against fighting but Moonlight Fang does stop Donphan from hurting it. I know only 10 damage would go through and you would have to run Dark energy but that would allow Unown [Dark] to be used as well to get the energy. I'm trying to make the deck too but i'm having trouble filling in spots.

That's like saying I play Uxie donk because I have 2 Uxie in my LuxChomp deck. Read any tourney report from any "Lostgar" player who won something and you'll see Gengar Prime/Lost World was a 2 or 3 card tech in an otherwise VileGar list that netted them a max 2 wins per tourney. The LostGar list WayneGG was peddling as format breaking and raging at anyone who disagreed was 40 cards different than VileGar w/Gengar Prime tech.

...

I've had better conversations with brick walls.

Is the intention of your Luxchomp running 2 Uxie to donk with Uxie? No.

Is the intention of a Lostgar variant that runs pretty much a Vilegar variant to poltergiest to death? No.

Is the intention of a Lostgar variant that runs pretty much a Vilegar variant to win via Lost World? Yes.

Does the Lostgar varient that runs pretty much a Vilegar variant occasionally (possibly often) win via Poltergeist? Yes.

Its all about intentions. I guess you are also lumping Speed/Donk/SF Machamp into the same deck as Vilechamp....cause, you know, they both run Machamp SF...

And, for that matter, all SP decks are exactly alike since they all run Garchomp, right?

Who cares that Wayne was wrong about the list, he said a deck with a given strategy would work and it did. I find it funny that you come on here complaining about how the "Poke-Vets" bash the "n00bs" when half of your posts are just Poke-Vet bashing....seems kind of like the pot calling the kettle black if you ask me...

Ah, so you re-defined your idea of interesting in the end then? A Stage 2 tech in a deck full of basics is very consistent after all.

The problem isn't with the information you're giving. These forums exist for the purpose of the exchange of ideas regarding the game, so your suggestions are always welcome. The problem begins when you back your suggestions with an "I'm a PokeVeteran, listen to me or you'll fail hard" attitude... which you've done several times throughout this thread.

"Have a nice time at the bottom tables"

"Keep taking my advice and maybe you won't fail too horribly"

"n00b"

Seeing a pattern? We can all be informative and helpful without flexing our PokeMuscles and hurling insults.

I gave advice, Jimmy even stopped in to give advice. What do we get? Completely ignored, and told that we must be wrong. Oh no, he would rather listen to some random players who probably haven't the slightest idea about what they're talking about. When I try to give advice, and other players (some who I would consider far better than me) give advice, only to have it shoved in our faces, while the OP deiced to stroke his ego by listening to a bunch of n00bs who praise him, THAT'S when I'm not going to beat around the bush about what's wrong with the deck.

Seriously, people around here used to take advice. Now all they seem to want to do is post a deck, and then yell at you about how you're wrong and only listen to those who support what they say. Where on earth does that get anyone? That's what's happened around here, and that's why many of the better players simply don't offer advice/post anymore. Do you REALLY think this is good for the gym?

everybody needs to just back away and take a breather. This is a deck help thread, if you personally feel slighted for someone not taking your advice, etc. be the bigger person and move along. as i said before, you can't make them put your advice to use. As for the other conversations going on, they have little to nothing to do with the topic of the thread, be respectful to the owner of the thread and stay on topic or don't post.

I know that i supported Lanturn Prime earlier, but with testing it,Kingdra Prime, and Yamnega Prime, Yamnega is by far the best as a tech, just a faster set up and it can actually attack for a decent amount of damage.

He is right though, Yanmega is not played in japan. Tornadus is played as a Donphan counter and plus power x4 for mirror and reshiram. Also in the Japanese meta beartic is a big deck and keeps Donphan down too, it's a very even playing field.

HP 110
1 retreat
weakness x2 lightning
resistance -20 fighting

Energy Well 1 colorless
エナジーウィール
Choose 1 Energy attached to one of your Benched Pokémon and move it to Tornadus.

Hurricane 3 colorless
ぼうふう 80
Choose 1 Basic Energy attached to Tornadus and move it to 1 of your Benched Pokémon.

Power him up as you would Zekrom if you are playing donphan, and 2 shot donphan while he cannot 2 shot you with earthquake. when you are done move the energy to zekrom for the finish if needed.

This and Catcher early game are key and are what makes Zekrom work in japan. Without these 2 cards Zekrom is only a donk deck

Also this is Tornadus, I think I mistyped in my last post.

BTW, I rest my case. >>

i was out of the game for 1 season, then came back into the game once i got to japan.
1 season of taking a breather from playing SPs does not validate a cocky response... especially considering the huge difference in the game after rotation...

i was t16 at last years nats before i left for the season and i didnt even play at a SINGLE states or regionals....
i understand the way this game works, whether or not im glued to the gym.

not to mention that the 2 posts were completely unrelated....

Just letting you know. I didn't count 36 supps/trainers. You only have 34, Making the deck a 58 card deck. So you still have 2 slots open.

I was thinking energy switch so when a zekrom is about to die you can switch one electric energy over to another zekrom and still be able to attack with outrage and save 1 energy card.

Pokemon: 12
4 Zekrom
2 Pachirisu CL
2 Shaymin UL
2-2 Yanmega Prime

Energy: 12
10 electric
2 rescue

Trainers: 36
4 Pokemon Collector
2 Professor Juniper
3 Pokemon communication
2 dual ball
2 junk arm
4 Judge
2 Copycat
2 energy retrieval
4 pluspowers
2 revive
3 switch
3 seeker
1 flower shop lady

STRATEGY:

Start with either Zekrom or Yanma. If you start with Yanma, search out Zekrom and retreat for free. Use all of the resources to search out 3 energy, 1 pachi and 1 shaymin. Then attach 1 energy to zekrom, bench pachi, use his power to attach 2 electric energy to him, and finally use shaymin to switch the energy over. Yanmega Prime to stall out donphan Prime.

How does this look?

You only have 34 trainers listed not 36. Please add two more cards to make a 60 card deck.
