LOLOL that's one of the advantages of Phoenix Turn. If the oppo doesn't know that you can force some amazing misplays on their part.

I wanted to apologize for what I said earlier. I don't have a right to come onto your thread and insult a deck you've worked hard on and put a lot of thought/effort into. Sorry, and hopefully lesson learned.

p.s., Azure Kite- saying something like that makes your entire argument illegitimate. "The deck is so good that I can misplay the most crucial card of my deck and still win!" >_> And then you say it takes skill to win?

Apology accepted on behalf of pro-Skittles players. Now I suppose we'll just wait for DarthPika's apology and everything will be hunky-dory again :)

I love this deck to pieces, but IMO ppl are probably gonna start teching against it going into BRs and Nats, so IDK if it's a great choice anymore in its' current form. There are plenty of weak points that people can abuse against this deck--Cess Crystal, Battle Frontier, water techs that hit for 50+, Special Conditions--but most of them are fairly easy to overcome, especially with a great start. Just some food for thought :thumb:

If your talking about something said in my big previous post, that wasn't really my gist. Perhaps the wording was wrong, but what I meant was that we all have bad starts, like I do with Skittles. But I can still come back. Not with luck, but with skill. This deck is considered a "donkfest" mainly because you can do 100 at the very start of the game. Afterward, IMO, the deck requires more skill than luck to do good with.

I just want to thank everyone for a thread with posts that are not all spam!!!!!!!!!!

I'm going to state what has already been stated most likely...
Yes this deck is sort of a donk
No it is not ONLY a donk
Yes you have to have skill to win with this if you dont pull of the "HO OHKO" donk......

more later when i get back from store...

Im a newer player and I am going to build this deck for battle roads... anyone have advice on what "tech" cards I should use, and what starter because I am confused about using Pachirisu or Furret

I prefer Pachi because it gives you more than one out against Cess Crystal which is one of the best answers against this deck.

Agreed. I don't see many CC's anymore, because the big decks use Powers too, but since I have Pachy, I don't even waist deck space with Windstorm.

Hatter:

I have been working with this, but not as much lately as I played Marmalade at Ragionals... Magmortar Gardellade and it worked well.

Skittle is just awesome.. the Furret idea is also the way I ended up going and found it to be more successful. Setup was cleaner and T2 Kiss was more consistent in case of the Speed Gardy matchup! Being able to snatch a PP or Charm at just hte right time is nice as well! Unown G does make a great addition, but at times I find it discarded wihtout seeing play!

Glad to see Skittle take off and do well! Congrats on the list.. hopefully I had some influence but you really deserve all the credit!

If you need me for any info on the write up, lmk!

Furret over Pachi allows you to search out a windstorm AND another card when you need it, which IMO is more useful than doing 40 with a weak basic.

But it all comes down to personal preference, obviously both versions can do well.

Heres a list I've been playing with, and it seems quite consistant:

4-2 Furret
3 Ho-Oh
3-2-3 Togekiss
1-1 Claydol
1-1 Craudaunt ex

3 Crystal Beach
1 Copycat
2 Windstorm
1 Night Maintenance
2 Warp Point
3 Candy
2 Roseannes
3 Bebes Search
2 Castaway
2 Strength Charm

2 Basic Dark
2 Basic Metal
2 Fire
3 Fighting
2 Grass
2 Electric
3 Water
2 Psychic

Why 3 Psychic over 3 Fighting (For Claydol)
