Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

2009 Masters World Champion Report!

Congratulations on your victory. I should've teched out my Beedrill more, never dared to do so. Awesome job on doing it and winning with it.

Stephen, I'm so happy for you!! The 2-3 Claydol thing is something that a lotof beedrill players have discovered around here, (for everyone who doubts--try it!!) and the Chatot and the Energy Gain were brilliant and show just what an amazing player you are!!

Thanks everyone so much!! This is just such a surreal feeling. I'm so happy, and I'm terribly bummed that worlds is over.

I'm at the airport now so I have a few minutes.

2-3 Claydol was solely for hoping to land a claydol in my opening hand to increase the odds of getting it out t2.

Steve this has been a long time coming. You have been like a brother to me and you have taught me how to really play this game. You deserved this. See you in hawaii.

Steve, it couldn't have happened to a better player! I'm happy and proud for you, and I know your Dad will be on cloud 9for the next year. I hope you are the first back to back worlds champ!

Congrats on your big win Steve. It was fun seeing you guys play on the stage. I'll buy the deck if that is what its really called. O and playing the song while readin your report is pretty cool lol

Congrats World Champ! I demand that you sign the world deck i will eventually buy in Wally World. You are the best player i know and really deserved this. Awesome job playing Beedrill, I remember seeing the 1-1 Luxray at League and thinking "how is that going to work out for him?" I guess the whole world knows now. Way to represent America, to bad our Jrs and Srs were overcome by the Land of the Rising Sun.
-Way to go champ

PS: BTW your my mentor now
PPS: Pleeaase name your deck Raybees

Hey Steve, Congrats on winning Worlds. It's amazing to see that you used Beedrill/Luxray, which is something different, but pretty cool to see win out of all those Flygon and SP Variants, but if anyone could win Worlds with it, it's you. Best of luck in Hawaii.

EDIT: I also like the Idea of the deck named RayBees.

4 Night Maintenances? Is that normal for a Beedrill? I would think more than 2 is dead space.

Congrats! from GA

Its great to have another USA World Champ.

Its even better to have one of the Southeast Guys Break through.

Ya'll have a great play group and its great to see success!

Dead weight? beedrill can recover an entire line that is KO.d But only if they are IN the deck. Standard Drill plays 3 Minimum. This would have to play 4 to effectively use Lux/Bat.

Great job, great deck. Congrats to the good old US of A, and ofcourse STEVE O:
