2010 - 2011 S/P/T Winner Medals Arriving!

I'm also fairly disappointed with winning medals. At the very least 1st place States/Top X Regs and Nats should get trophies, rather than some painted CC medal.

Wow not bad at all for the medals I wonder if the Regional Medals will be bigger or if they will be the same size as the States Medals
 
OMG they are almost worth the wait. Sad thing is I'll probably get mine faster than it takes a game I ordered to arrive. BTW the game shipped April 18th.
 
I prefer a trophy over a medal. As the Pokemon tournament season progress with each new event being worth much more premier ranking points than the previous competition, the victor should be rewarded with a memento much more lustrous than a conventional medal.

Nonetheless, whoever did have the good faith to earn the Pokemon State or Regional championship medal certainly earn it, and earned my respect--congratulations on a job well done, State and Regional champions.

These are good looking, and are certainly nicer than CC medals, but compared to SPT trophies these are pretty disappointing, not gonna lie.

I understand the reason why these changes were made as it's been talked about to death, but I'm not feeling these at all.
 
I got a S/T/P medal today (same as the one in the picture) but was a regionals winner, not states. Did any other regionals-only winners receive the same?
 
does anything have a past SPT trophy picture they would be willing to post? I'd like to know how it looks like :)
 
I will never think these are better than glass trophies. It's disgusting to me that they have to resort to such measures, giving champions of a state or region a mere 3 x 3 slab of colored medal for their endeavors.

Bring back the trophies.

EDIT: At least we're getting something, as underwhelming as it may be.

Just added a picture to my previous post.

For what it's worth, my son (the winner) prefers the medal. More colorful, easier to carry.

My personal opinion is, one trophy is cool. Two or more trophies and it just starts to take up desk space. Whereas, these medals remind me of the badges Ash earns.

Check the ribbon...are they both 1st place? Did you place in another States tourney?

Similarly, you didn't take 2nd - 4th place in a State? The ribbon says the place.

Just to remind everyone complaining if you don't like your medals then feel free to email Pokemon and I'm sure they will refund any entry fee in full.

Definitively? No. But I suspect it's just the ribbon that indicates the place. At least that's all it shows on this 1st place medal. The back just says something short about Made by Pokemon Company and some kind of item number. Not even "Made in China" like the City medal!

Will they refund the money I put into investing in the game too? I know I didn't buy an Uxie Lv X because I like the pretty artwork. ;/
 
I still say next year they should add a stamped promo card for maybe 1st and 2nd to the medal and then I will be happy. That should not cost all that much for them since they already have the promos being made. Just do a couple of print runs at end with them being stamped like the Staff promos but with First Place and Second Place. Six extra cards for each state cannot be all that much but would be great for the players.
