Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Best/Favorite Anime?? (Spoilers for Everything)

The When They Cry series is my favorite by far. Although I prefer the Visual Novels over the Anime I think that DEEN did an okay job making an adaption to the series. The Anime is okay if you don't feel like spending 15 hours or more reading just one arc but it leaves out a lot of stuff that could have (and should have) been added.

Seconded, I love this series. It's perfect for halloween, too.

favs
1. ikki tousen/DD/GG- liked second and third seasons better

2. elfen lied-the story was awesome

3/dbz

4. generator gawl- love the sound when they transform

5. trigun- funny

6. divergence eve- dont know just like it

I dont really hate any anime I just dont like much main stream anime

FLCL-Enough has been said about it already.

Cromartie High school- Probably the funniest show I have ever watched the entire way through. Seriously, the humor is off-the-wall but always induces laughs.

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood- But...but....it's not done yet! Well, the manga is far enough along that the plot is more or less fleshed out. Great animation thus far, likeable characters, even the villans, and great plot twists.

Yep. The original series was good, but brotherhood simply outclasses it. If you haven't read the manga then i recommend you continue watching, it gets better.

I just got current on the manga yesterday (regular FMA, is there a second one?), and I've watched probably 14-16 episodes of the original FMA anime. I noticed some pretty big differences after the Ed/Al fight on top of the hospital, but didn't really have a chance to follow up. Does Brotherhood follow more closely to the manga?

Brotherhood is ESSENTIALLY the manga, but in anime form.

I try to think of them as separate entities due to the vast changes in the story after meeting Greed. Both are good in their own right IMO.

Naruto: (manga and Shippuden): Why? Because it is very exciting and kinda puts a spin on the idea of ninja.

Kodomo no Jikan: I have read the manga and seen some of the anime, and I must say, this is a very sweet series, although rather...inappropriate for kids...

Fullmetal Alchemist: Simply amazing storyline, and the alchemy element is incredible as well.

My favorite anime's:

Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS (long name. Lol)
Code Geass-Lelouch of the Rebelion and season 2. (R2)
Burst Angel
Shakugan No Shana
Air Gear
Dragon Drive
Wolfs Rain
Zoids Genesis
Some Naruto...

I must say, I particularly enjoyed an anime my friend discovered for me, called RahXephon.

Succinctly, one could describe it as similar to Neon Genesis Evangelion, minus the liquid angst, with an ending that leaves you satisfied. As we all know, endings are good for finishing stuff, and with a great ending, and anime is made complete. I'd highly recommend it for pretty much any anime lover (other than newbies, there's a certain "acclimating period" to become accustom to anime in general, before taking the plunge into just about everything and anything.)

Speaking of Neon Genesis Evangelion
Gainax is in the production of Complete retelling of the original series
Entitled Rebuild of Evangelion 1.0 - 4.0
1.0 is already out in America and 2.0 has already aired in Japan
I've seen it already and in my opinion it does a really good job at telling the story and filling in the
many blanks that NGE left in the storyline.

Also might I add that
Shin Mazinger Shougeki Z-Hen is well worth the watch
Its a complete retelling of the original Mazinger Z series done in the 80s done by Go Nagai
however its only out on the internet as subs. (But completely Worth It! its
Mecha done right with lots of humor thrown in and plenty of action)

wow... all this time... no one mentioned the most manliest love story... and perhaps one of the most awesomest anime/manga of all time...

HOKUTO NO KEN
[/B
]

i dont want to spoil it for anyone, i suggest checking it out... also, check out the following:

1. Initial D - awesome street racing anime
2. Berserk - an anime so manly it helped pioneer a new genre that is called "manime"
3. Dragon Ball Kai - if you like DBz, its slimmed from around 280 down to like 107.... and reformatted for HD...
4. Ninja Nonsense - a very comical anime that makes me laugh uncontrollably
5. Nerima Daikon Brothers - same as Ninja Nonsense, but the english cast is top-notch
6. Mobile Fighter G Gundam - amazing anime and heartwrenching love story... and mechs... awesome

...and thats what i can name off the top of my head right now...

I have seen one anime (Not counting Pokemon), and that is Fruits Basket. I really enjoyed it, though it should have gone on longer. *Thinks to how the Manga has 20+ volumes and the Anime only covered the first 6...*

But it was a cute little story, easy to follow, and it helps that the Chinese culture is really interesting. (At least, to me it is.)

I watch a lot of anime, mainly on DVD.
Here are my favourites:

Haruhi, just love this series, it has it all, good characters, excellent narration by the main character, interesting story and brilliant animation

Fate Stay/Night, another awesome series, the art in this is amazing and it has some of the best animation i've ever seen. Also it is just plain fun to watch

Black Lagoon, kinda weird that its from Japan, as it has all the criteria for a western blockbuster movie, that's why i recommend to watch it in dub, it fits the nature a whole lot more. This has a lot of crazy action sequences, twists in the story, and is generally pretty violent lol

Code Geass, what can i say? this show is just entertaining as hell, and i do like my mecha :D

Baccano! A masterpiece in its own right, everyone must watch this, it is a brilliant anime, amazing storyline, great characters, and nice animation, definitly the main highlight from the last few years.

Darker Than Black, BONES just outdoes itself each time, first with Euraka 7 and Xam'd, now with this. Has everything a BONES production has, intricate story, top-notch animation, and likeable characters that undergo change.

^PoketrainerJ: Now, not to single you out, but why do you say DBZ is the best anime ever? There are many fine choices out there, with less screaming power ups, for sure, but why DBZ?

I apologize for taking too long to post a response for this, but Dragonball Z or "Kai" was one of those series that I admired for the cool action, drama, and awesomeness of the characters and techniques in general. Though the 1st Dragonball series had more of an adventure aspect to it like with One Piece, I also loved that series as well.

Dragonball/Z was what I believed to be the one series or rather the gateway that got me into the Anime/Manga Genre back when I was in Middle School, Pokemon sort of had a part with it as well including Sailor Moon. Even after watching the Dragonball series countless times I think the 1st Dragonball series up to the end of the Cell Saga was great, Buu Saga on the other hand was alright IMO.

There were some parts I did miss from the very 1st Dragonball series such as parts of the King Piccolo Arc which was either before or after Goku fought against the Red Ribbon Army as a kid.

The mix between Martial Arts, influences of buddhism and other foreign cultures, The Tale of Journey to the West, as well as the influence of the Anime/Manga masterpiece "Akira" by Katsuhiro Otomo blended extremely well with what Akira Toriyama had envisioned for the Dragonball series as a whole in my humble opinion. To put it in one word, "Epic."

I must ask you anime enthusiasts. Have you ever seen the anime Ergo Proxy?

I JUST finished it, and boy, it was great. I'll give a review a bit later, but I wanted to get your input on how you liked the series.
