I'm supporting Martin, as well as I'm glad we finally have a World Champion we can respect, but there's also a National Champion.

We finally have a World Champion we can respect? So Jeremy and Yamato weren't respectable World Champions?

Gimme a break.

Jeremy= T4 Twice, But before the second Worlds Top, wasn't almost everyone bashing him, because they thought he didn't deserve to win:/ I distinctly remeber him saying " I am probly the most hated player on the gym"

Yamato= Did we respect his skills either... Or did we complain about the JPN sweep?

The guy's 20-1 for cities, with three titles. He may be ranked lower than Pablo, but he has a much better win percentage against VERY good opponents.

He won a TMB.
HE WON WORLDS.

What else is there to SAY?

I didn't get a chance to prove myself last year, but I definately think I give Jason a run for his money.

How about....

-Best City Championship Attendance....I think that goes to Rockford for the 05-06 season!
-The Best Play of the Game (best move made by a player at any premier event is past season)
-Best location for a premier event! (considering the crowds, scenery, and how pokemon themed the environment is)
-Best prize awarded this season (i assume would be the scholarships or trips, but how the trophies)
-Best newcomer (awarded to the best new player with a great record, compared to other new players of course)
-Professor of the Year award (goes to the professor who devoted alot to the pokemon TCG this past season, based on events participated, effort, expertise and other things)
-Best Mini-Judge(awarded to the best mini-judge of the professor cup, based on silliness, effort, and expertise)
-Best Player Moment (best moment in a TCG premier event, be it getting an invite, winning a CC, States, etc. Pretty much open to voters choice)
-Funniest Quote made by a POP official [during a premier event] (like it says, if you heard something really funny from a POP official, it would be great for everyone to hear it)
-Greatest Outfit worn by a Player
-Greatest Song in preparation for a premier event
-Best Phrase (Based on the amount of times used in premier events all around the whole)
-Longest Distance Traveled for a Premier Event (only in the US, excluding Nats)
-Best Deck Sleeves
-Best Damage Counters
-Best Deck Box
-Best Dice

CMT

Best Player 15+: Ness (Jimmy, Pablo, Jermy honorable mentions)
Best Player 10-: James B (Andrew K honorable mention)
Best Deck: Mewtrick (LBS honorable mention)
Best event: Great Lakes Regionals (Pokegon State Park FTW)
Best PTO: Mike Cook (Meg45, PokeMama honorable mentions)

All of these are completely IMO, mostly cuz I haven't had the chance to go anywhere outside of the IL/WI/IN area, but Mike Cook gets the numbers.

Meh...
So maybe they didn't get the respect they deserved, from some, but that's not the same as "can respect".
Sounds like they should have gotten respect, even if they didn't.

So your giving your own honarable mention to Jermy and Pablo even though you've never seen them play or meet them?

The Best Play of the Game (best move made by a player at any premier event is past season):
Well for me it had to be:

Player A:His Machamp with an energy root ko's Player B's Larvitar.
Player B: Brings up a Larvitar with no energy. Player B then plays rare candy to get Dark T-Tar(Spin Tail). He then plays copycat for 4 cards. He draws Electrode Ex, Darkness Energy, and 2 Rare Candies.
He evolves to trode ex and uses its power to get back: 2 scramble, 2 dark, 1 boost. Then he plays another dark and grinds for 140 ko. From no energy to 140 in one turn.
It was awesome, that was the best play I personally saw this season.

Greatest Song in preparation for a premier event:
Pretty Fly for a White Guy- Weird Al lol

It's not a question of whether or not they WERE respected.

It's a question or whether or not they COULD HAVE BEEN respected, like you said yourself.

And they could have been. But Yamato wasn't USA, and Jeremy wasn't popular enough with the elite. I think both of those guys were respected by mostly everyone except the Lafonte crowd. Since you're an elite fanboy, your posts look the way they do.

How about "Most active on the forum?"

We retired it after I won it on Wizpog.

Quite frankly, I don't think there's enough valid categories to fashion an award presentation out of. Besides, we used to have a yearly awards show at Live365-we canned it because broadcasters were practically at each other's throats.

Ratings also speak for themselves. T4x2 is almost impossible to achieve, while Pablo simply wins everything he goes to. He probably would have gotten T8 at Worlds had he been allowed to participate.

Best battling brothers? The Nances.

Close, but no cigar. Jordan/Curran H. FTW. Elissa's in there too, and she's got a regional and t8 at worlds under her belt. Jordan's got multiple regionals, and Curran, well, he ran the table a year or so ago.

I was thinking more like in the same age group, but you definitely highlighted a great group of brothers (and sister). Touch Competition, especially that Curran.
