Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Bippa201's Contest: Round 7 has started. Wally vs Afstandopleren

I'll post a R3 done sign tomorrow at about 11 Mountain Time (About 6 am Grenwich Time). Are you and GreenZangoose communicating?

yes but he is only communicating during morning GMT-6. I have to wait 8-9 hours for his next pm, which should finalize it.

Do i have to post here if the card is done or PM you

Vaporeon Lv.X 110 HP (W)
LEVEL UP - Put onto Vaporeon
Pokebody: Healing Vapor
Remove 1 damage counters from each of your Pokemon during the beginning of your turn. If Vaporeon was damaged or had damage counters placed on it during your opponent's previous turn, remove 2 damage counters from each of your Pokemon instead.
(W)(W)(C)(C) Group Surf 60+
This attack does 60 damage plus 20 more damage for each Pokemon on your bench that evolves from Eevee. Ignore Resistance for this attack.
Weakness: L +30
Resistance: none
Retreat Cost: C
Put this card on your active Vaporeon. Vaporeon Lv X can use any attack, Poke-Power, or Poke-Body from its previous Level.

Vaporeon Lv.36 90HP (W)
Poke-body: Serene Focus
Whenever one or more of your Pokemon that evolves from Eevee is damaged by an attack, search your discard pile for one basic energy card and add it to your hand.
(W)(C) Water barrier 40
During your opponent's next turn, any damage done to your Pokemon by attacks is reduced by 20.
Weakness: L +20
Resistance: None
Retreat Cost: C

We work on both cards together. I came up with vaporeon lvx's pokebody while my partner came up vaporeon's pokebody. The attacks were done as a team. vaporeon lvx gives the eevolution deck a better chance against spread decks. We look at the vaporeon md, glaceon lvx, and leafeon lvx to gives us an idea on what to set hp, weakness, and retreat cost for both vaporeon and vaporeon lvx.

Here's our cards, for now. Note that I might edit before grading.

Flareon LV.45 HP100 [R]
Evolves from Eevee

Poké-Power: Fired Up
Once during your turn (before you attack), you may search your deck for a basic Energy card that is the same type of one of your Benched Pokémon that evolves from Eevee and add it to your hand or attach it to Flareon. Shuffle your deck afterwards.

[R][C] Flames of Evolution 30+
Does 30 damage plus 20 for each different type of Benched Pokémon that evolves from Eevee you have in play (excluding any Flareon).

[R][R][C] Multiple Fireblast 30
Discard up to 5 [R] Energy attached to Flareon. For each Energy you discarded, choose an opponent's Benched Pokémon in play and this attack does 30 damage to those Pokémon. (You may not choose the same Pokémon more than once.) (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.)

Weakness: [W] + 20
Resistance: None
Restreat: [C][C]

Flareon LV.X 120HP [R]
LEVEL UP - Put onto Flareon

[Poké-BODY] Power Surge
All damage done by your Pokémon that evolves from Eevee do 20 more damage to the Defending Pokémon (before applying Weakness and Resistance).

[R][R][C][C] Open Flame 60
Does 30 damage to each of your opponent's Benched Pokémon that has any damage counters on it.

W - [W]x2
R -
RC - [C][C]

I was in charge of Flareon LV.X while he did Flareon.

This is our idea

Jolteon - :lightning - 80HP
Stage 1

Poke-Body: Recharge
Whenever one of your Pokemon that Evolved from Eevee is Knocked Out, you may move any number of Energy attached to that Pokemon to another 1 of your Pokemon that Evolved from Eevee before discarding it.

:lightning:lightning Spark Shot 20
Does 20 damage to 2 of your opponents Pokemon. Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokemon is Paralyzed.

Weakness: :fighting:+20
Resistance: :metal:-20
Retreat: ()
--------------------------------
Jolteon LV.X - :lightning - 110HP
Level Up

Poke-Body : Quick Help
Each of your Pokemon that evolved from Eevee pay 1 [C] less to use it's attack. You can't use more than 1 Quick Help Poke-Body each turn.

:lightning:lightning:colorless Negative Charge
You must discard 2 Energy attached to Jolteon in order to use this attack. This attack does 50 damage to 3 of your opponents Pokemon. Jolteon does 20 damage to itself.

Weakness: :fighting:x2
Resistance: :metal:-20
Retreat: :colorless:

okay, since Burdn and Cardkeeper have left, thus leaving DCF7 with no team (thus getting a free pass for this round) I will judge your 3 cards pretty quickly.

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

Charmander Rox & Vadrake - Flareon

Wonderful card. Combos perfectly with Glaceon Lv. X - 10 points

Rage780 & GreenZangoose - Vaporeon

Pretty good, though I think the Lv.X is a bit broken, but not too bad - 9.5 points

Afstandopleren & Wally - Jolteon

Wonderful card. I love Quick Help. 10 points

Since Burdn and Cardkeeper left the competition, no one is eliminated today. R4 is a little tricky to understand, but I will try to help as much as I can (If you need any help, ask)

You will be in groups of 1 since there are 7 of you. You are to make a card that behaves similar too a big card out there (I'll be using Kingdra as my example).

For example if I get Kingdra, I could use Jumpluff.

Jumpluff 130HP

[.] Grass Stream
Search your deck for as many [G] energy as you like. This attack does 10 damage for each energy you choose. Shuffle them into your deck.

[W] Cotton Pump 40+
You may discard up to 2 cards from your hand. If you do this attack does 40 damage plus 20 damage and 20 to one of your opponent's benched Pokemon

W - [R]+30
R - [-]
RC -[C]

You will be given a popular card right now and are changing it with another Pokemon of your choice. What I did with Jumpluff is switched all the Kingdra related stuff with Jumpluff related stuff. When you post your card, please post an original of the card that I assigned you.

Here are your cards

Charmander Rox - Gliscor Lv. X
Vadrake - Toxicroak G
Rage780 - Dusknoir Lv.X
GreenZangoose - Regigigas Lv.X
Afstandoplren - Mightyena PT
Wally - Leafeon Lv.X
DCF7 - Kingdra (no using Jumpluff please)

Remember, if you get stumped, ask me what to do.

Lol, all three of the non-Lv.X card's Poke-Bodies deal with energy... is there some kind of telekinesis or something going on?

Also, how similar do you want the cards? I know in your example you basically took the guts out of Kingdra and placed them into Jumpluff...

In other words, what exactly will you be judging us for this round?

Leafeon Lv. X 110HP [G]

Poke-Power Energy Forcing: Once during your turn (before your attack), you may attach an Energy card from your hand to 1 of your Pokemon. This power can't be used if Leafeon is affected by a Special Condition.

GC Verdant Dance 30+
Does 30 damage plus 10 more damage for each Energy attached to all of your Pokemon.

W > R +30 / R > W -20 / RC > CC

Claydol Lv. X 100HP [P]

Poke-Power : Spell Enforcer
Once during your turn (before your attack), you may attach a [F] or [P] Energy card from your hand to 1 of your Pokemon. This power can't be used if Claydol is affected by a Special Condition.

[P][F] Ancient Forces 30+
Does 30 damage plus 10 more damage for each Energy attached to all of your Pokemon.

W - [W] x2
R - [L] -20
RC - [C][C]

Do you want it to look like this

Venomoth - :psychic: - 90HP
Stage 1

Poke-Body: Immunity Reaction
Whenever Venemoth is affected by a Special Condition, ignore all Energy in Venomoth's attack costs.
Don't put any damage counters on Venomoth in between turns by Special Conditions.

:colorless:colorless Gust Help 20+
THis attack does 20+20 more damage if you played a Supporter during your turn.

:psychic::psychic::colorless Evil Wind 50+
If Venomoth has less Energy attached then the Defending Pokemon, this attack does 50 + 30 more damage.

Weakness: :fire:+20
Resisance: :grass:-20
Retreat: :colorless

Regigigas Lv.X 150HP (C)
Level Up - Put onto Regigigas
Poke-power: Sacrifice
Once during your turn, you may choose one of your pokemon in play and that pokemon is knocked out. Then, search your discard pile for two basic energy cards, attach them to Regigigas, and remove 8 damage counters from Regigigas. This power can't be used if Regigigas is affected by a special condition.
(W)(F)(M)(C) Giga Blaster 100
Discard the top card of your opponent's deck. Then choose one card in your opponent's hand without looking and discard it. Regigigas can't use Giga Blaster during your next turn.
Weakness: (F) x2
Resistance: None
Retreat Cost: (C)(C)(C)(C)

Golduck Lv.X 140HP (P)
Level Up - Put onto Golduck
Poke-power: Mind Release
Once during your turn, you may choose one of your pokemon in play and that pokemon is knocked out. Then, search your discard pile for two basic energy cards, attach them to Golduck, and remove 8 damage counters from Golduck. This power can't be used if Golduck is affected by a special condition.
(W)(P)(D)(C) Deep Psychic 100
Discard the top card of your opponent's deck. Then choose one card in your opponent's hand without looking and discard it. Golduck can't use Deep Psychic during your next turn.
Weakness: (L) x2
Resistance: None
Retreat Cost: (C)

Alright, I know what you're thinking, Golduck what the? But it seemed like the best choice. It's obviously meant to be used with the new PT Golduck, letting you able to 2HKO Kingdra even if it retreats to the bench and if you know you're going to die you can end your turn with Water Slide and save all of those energies.

Dusknoir Lv X :psychic: HP: 140
Level Up Put onto Dusknoir

Pokepower: Ectoplasm
If Dusknoir is your Active pokemon and would be Knocked Out by damage from your opponent's attack, you may discard all cards attached to Dusknoir LV. X and put Dusknoir LV. X as a stadium card into play instead of discarding it. This counts as Dusknoir being Knocked Out and your opponent takes a prize card. As long as you have Dusknoir LV. X as a stadium card in play, put 1 damage counter on each of your opponent's Pokemon between turns. If another Stadium card comes into play or Dusknoir LV.X is discarded by the effect of an attack, Poke-Powers, Poke-Bodies, Trainer, or Supporter cards, return Dusknoir LV. X to your hand.

Put this card onto your active Dusknoir. Dusknoir LV. X can use any attack, Poke-Power, or Poke-Body from its previous Level.

Weakness: :dark: x 2
Resistance: :colorless - 20
Retreat Cost: CCC
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gyrados Lv X :water: HP: 140
Level Up Put onto Gyrados

Pokepower: Dragon's Wrath
If Gyrados is your Active pokemon and would be Knocked Out by damage from your opponent's attack, you may discard all cards attached to Gyrados LV. X and put Gyrados LV. X as a stadium card into play instead of discarding it. This counts as Gyrados being Knocked Out and your opponent takes a prize card. As long as you have Gyrados LV. X as a stadium card in play, put 1 damage counter on each of your opponent's Pokemon between turns. If another Stadium card comes into play or Gyrados LV.X is discarded by the effect of an attack, Poke-Powers, Poke-Bodies, Trainer, or Supporter cards, return Gyrados LV. X to your hand.

Put this card onto your active Gyrados. Gyrados LV. X can use any attack, Poke-Power, or Poke-Body from its previous Level.

Weakness: :lightning x 2
Resistance: :fighting: - 20
Retreat Cost: CCC

Giving gyrados this powerful pokepower is balanced out by the fact that he evolves from 30 hp magikarp. ie: just about any pokemon can knock it out. You can use either the sf gyrados or mt gyrados. I prefer the mt gyrados because it can do up to 160 damage for 1 energy. I have to say that is a powerful incentive to knock out gyrados just like damage even was powerful incentive to knock out dusknoir.
Obvious counter to it are ampharos pt(pokebody shuts off your pokepower and can 1 hit ko you with his first attack with pluspower or with his 2nd attack) and dialga g lvx. Dialga G lvx shuts off mt gyrados pokebody if you decide to use that one and therefore you can not use magikarp flail attack and do 30 more damage in addition to the flail damage. Memory berry is your alternative plan if dialga g lvx is in play.

I thought about giving frosglass's ectoplasm like poke-power but the combination of his spread attacks along with a pokepower when frosglass is knock out would have been kind of broken.

My other choice was banette. We already have so many powerful psychic level x card and giving another psychic lvx pokemon would have been bad for balance of the game. Also, your opponent really do not have any incentive to knock it out by using an attack. Yes, banette can damage itself to the point where it is very close to knock out.

Gliscor LV.X 110HP [F]
LEVEL UP - Put onto Gliscor
[Poké-POWER] Shoot Poison
Once during your turn (before your attack), when you put Gliscor LV.X from your hand onto your Active Gliscor, you may choose 1 of the Defending Pokémon. That Pokémon is now Paralyzed and Poisoned.
[F][C] Night Slash 60
You may switch Gliscor with 1 of your Benched Pokémon.
W - [W]x2
R - [F]-20
RC -

Rapidash LV.X 110HP [R]
LEVEL UP - Put onto Rapidash
[Poké-POWER] Shoot Burn
Once during your turn (before your attack), when you put Rapidash LV.X from your hand onto your Active Rapidash, you may choose 1 of the Defending Pokémon. That Pokémon is now Paralyzed and Burned.
[R][C] Hoof Slash 60
You may switch Rapidash with 1 of your Benched Pokémon.
W - [W]x2
R -
RC -

Alright, Rapidash is commonly known for Burning, and it is fast, deserving the low HP and free retreat. SF Rapidash already combos with Heatran, and this improves such a connection, with another way to Burn and an easy way to get it out for a Level Up, assuming that you can also get a Switch-type card.

With Claydol Lv. X... you won't just use it for drawing card.... Can be used best with [P] decks

Not that I don't feel this is the most unoriginal round we've ever had...

Arbok R 90 HP [P]
Basic Pokemon

Poke-Body: Dizzying Venom
Prevent all effects of attacks, excluding damage, done to Arbok R by your opponent's attacks.

[P][C] Vicious Venom 20+
If the Defending Pokemon is poisoned, this attack does 20 damage plus 40 more damage.

Weakness: [P] x2
Restistance: None
Retreat: [C][C]

Not to insult, but as an outside viewer, this contest is poorly constructed and poorly run. The fact that they can choose any card to counter is sort of ridiculous... you need to straight up say "counter this card," not counter any card you want to.
