Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Blissey too strong?

oh needs multiple times? you ko one blissey early, and thats it, they gotta start attaching again. you don't need to have it that consistantly.

blissey no.2 comes, boost! then absorb 1 energy from discard, thats 60 damage. Next turn blissey will have 2 energies on it, absorb again, 50 damage. that equals 110. end of story? No, i havent add in some cases like if ur pokemon already has damage on it, or i have multi-pluspowers.

like above poster says, it is pointless.
Blissey is a Stage 1 with a FREAKING 130 HP.

There are lots of things that can do 130, but can it do it consistently? Course not. Blissey, on the other hand, can just evolve on the second turn he played it with... 3-4 Energy in the discard and just slap a Holon FF on it and you have one big fat Oprah to take down. Who will, 2-3HKO you while you try to chip away from that MASSIVE 130 HP.

You take it down? Great! Now there is a second one with no energy on it, and all of a sudden, bam, Scarmble or Boost appears and deal to you 60 up front with the base energy it catches. Even Lucario (not X) has trouble against it, and we all know Lucario is THAT good.

Blissey is cheap in the TCG and the DS game now, who would have known.

Looks like someone haven't played with/against a good Blissey list.

Btw, thanks Lia for writing your report. I've tried your Sableye tech(s?), and it works pretty good. d:

It will get even worse if we get the dp3 R-k9 in SW. T3 120 FTW!!

is lia, rainbowgym? i played against her blissey and its a running beast like a tgv(train), its difficult to defeat.

@lia, im the one that played top4 against you in schoten with mario. well played

Somehow I get the feeling you never have seen a good Blissey deck in full progress.

jus think speed, blissey is like turn 2 loads of damage, give them a scramble! you're trying to look way to deeply into it, blissey does loads of damage quickly, each blissey wants like 5 energy, by that ime you can let an active get run over, thenscramble for a ko, if they're trying to get lots of energy on the first blissey, then they gotta start again, you 130 them before they reach 'full process', think about it.

well, I have teched against Blissey for the last 3 tournaments. The only sucess I have had is with special conditions. Just as everyone else says, Blissey is a beast. If they run Holon FF, it's insane to take down. I have tried Meganium with Crystal Beach.....even that's a real battle. I would love to say I truly Curb Stomp Blissey, but a straight Blissey deck is very tough. Looking at some of the results proves that each area has different metagames, if you aren't running Blissey here...you aren't making the top 2.

Hi Edwin, someday I will be again in Belgium to play.

Why should anybody wants to try to get lots of energy on the first blissey.
Did you ever played against it, I still doubt it.

I always have to laugh about these comments, people always think in the "best/godly hand" way.I do this and than I do that, forgetting you need to have/find the cards to do it.
Having everything you need in your first/second hand is not going to happen every time.
However in a straight Blissey you have space to create a trainerline which can give you more than average chance on finding what you need. No way a stage2 deck will have that option.

Of all games I played only a very few times I had a Blissey with 7-8 nrg under it, just because I didn't get damage (or not enough) and attached from hand to a fresh one and take the one of the attack out of the discard pile.

@Lia, it's Erwin  and i look forward to played against you again. was it a good match or was it a easy win for you? was it a good mario or did you seen better before? i started playing from june, so its al very new for me, maybe you can give me tips for making it better

Not with R-k9.

even with r-k9
it hits itself for 40
you dont really accomplish much by pulling out arcanine t3, since blissey should steam rolling by yhat point
arcanine is a good blissey tech for other blissey decks, or if metal pokemon are giving you trouble, but considering aggro bliss usually runs cc and gets it out ASAP, arcanine may not be of overwelming use

Uh, BR\'s are NOT over. Yeah, maybe in the USA, knowing how self-centered that country is I figure they don\'t care for that thing that other people like to call \"Europe\".

wow
is ur IQ below 50, or are you 8?
i know its one of the two, you can tell me...

we do care about europe, we just arent going to focus on europes metagame AND our own
especially not since you guys are a set behind us

No offence to blissey, but she is an overweight soon-to-be mother who works with sick people all day long. She just brings so much joy into the world that no one wants to beat her for fear of being socially hermit-ized(made a new word, yipee).

THAT is how blissey wins. Just don't feel sorry if you punch an overweight soon-to-be mother sick worker in the face.

Oh wait, thats impossible.

Forfeit =\

Wrongo once more. We tend to be a bit later, yes, thanks to that LOVELY Nintendo who just LOVES to screw Europe (Glances at late July DP release), but we are pretty even now. Our BR format is HP-MT just as much as yours.

Funny how you accuse me of having an IQ that is below 50 while you can't even spell "your".

How can I play Blissey if we are a set behind?
It's different from country to country, but most of them are now using HP-MT.
In our country the choice was made to delay BR untill after we were allowed to use MT.
I am happy with that decission, I don't like it to switch format in the middle of a series events.
Most of all because most of us ever played a tournament including DP1.
We went from DX-PK over to HP-MT.

Yes, and thanks to that you're now winning everything Lia. I guess I should whip up my Salamence agai....wait, Blissey, weakness, right.

I've been devising decks that can take on Blissey but somehow I keep managing to not face them on the BR's, instead losing to things like Kingdra >.<
