Am I the only one who thinks that PCL took the fact that the previous formats were better a bit too literally? I mean really, Aggron=Rhyperior(DP), Mew EX=Mew ex, Ho-Oh EX-Ho-Oh(SW), Rayquaza EX=Rayquaza ex(EX Dragon), Shedinja=Shedinja(Don't remember the set). I could go on forever. They're reprinting everything.

Not to mention that they're doing nothing but Basic EXs so there really is no point of playing Stage2 Pokémon. Mew EX with 120 HP but Jumpluff still in 90 HP - someone has forgotten to power creep Stage Pokémon...

Not sure if that is focus band or not since no numbers appear in the card text. If it was focus band there should be a 10 somewhere

While Mew is very simialar to its past EX (with the power creep) its just not going to fare very well next format. If its ability ignored energy types, so every card attached to Mew effectively counted as a rainbow then it might have been playable.

Ho-oh is actually my favourite EX from the set. It will work very well with Ultra Ball and Juniper even though its a little underpowered. I'm determined to find a way to make it work.

If its true then Zekrom just became a hell of a lot more broken than it already is.

AMATEUR TRANSLATION TIEM

So the card's name is レスキュースカーフ, or Rescue Scarf.
This is what I gathered from the card text, approximately:
"If this card's Pokémon [trans. note: the Pokémon this card is attached to] should faint, discard this card and take that Pokémon back to your hand. (Discard all cards attached to that Pokémon.)"

The validity of this translation is not guaranteed since I suck at Japanese. If I feel like it, I could attempt to translate some other BW5 cards while waiting for the 'Beach to get their translations up.

Awesome, thanks for that. Seems like a nice card, I like it!

And it's not Focus Band!

In the process of translating card 038 from Dragon Blast, a Durant to be more precise.

Its attack name roughly translates to "Pick Up" and it shares a lot of attack text wording with Durant NV. This is going to be spectacular.

Something I just realized, with the new Durant, there could be up to 6 Durant in play.................

It's not an EX, it has the same card name as Durant NV . . . so you still can't run more than 4 Durant in a deck.

Highly doubt it will have anything to do with Durant NV.

Mew EX is awesome! :D ... Mew EX is awesome!? .... NOOOO That means It's going to suck collecting it...again! DX

I disagree. Most EXs take only one of a specific type of energy, and a lot of other cards are starting to do the same, which means 1 Prism and, and energy acceleration should suffice, though admittedly Mewtwo EX will still be around.

As for the other EXs, Ho-oh EX looks interesting (Ultra Ball discard anyone?), Registeel EX is pretty cool (easy spread? what nonsense is this?), Rayquaza EX is...well Rayquaza EX, Terrakion EX is Entei EX, but better (still kinda meh though), and Giritina isn't that great.

Also a lot more abilities, can't wait to see what a lot of them are.

And if Boufulant's ability has to do with its afro...

Same here, kind of. I think it's because nothing surprises us anymore now that we have basics that have close to 200 HP and can hit for 150 :p
Trainers, on the other hand, are always interesting. Oh and speaking of trainers. I want Power Spray back. Or something similar.
