@Yoshi: Set-up decks just got a bit of support in Rescue, Twins, and Black Belt. Plus, I'm not saying that they shouldn't be given a leg-up, I'm saying I don't want to see exact reprints of cards that were legal for years and have been rotated for 2 months or so. I just want to play with new, interesting, different cards.

I'd just like to see Miracle Diamond, Mysterious Pearl, and Wonder Platinum released. Those be some FUN cards to play ^_^

I know I keep telling collectors to stop complaining about card values, having actual trophy cards could be bad times for the market if prices tumble after a reprinting.

More like it, but most are old (the 5th movie deck came out nearly 7 years ago I think?) and the movie decks have a lot of owner's Pokémon in them. This is definitely not happening (but would be pretty awesome if they did)

This. You could please everyone with cool cards with awesome art that are playable too.

In an ideal world- sure! But they gotta use what's available. You would have to take that one up with PCL.

Wasn't the issue with Power Keepers that they had to use stock art because TPCi don't hire artists, PCL does? If Call of Legends has exclusive cards like Power Keepers, don't get your hopes up...

I would love to see Multi Energy reprinted. Its just too good to pass up.

Multi energy was good.
but It wasn't broken ;)
so if it was to get too overpowered, thats what scizor, machamp, and (hopefully) lost remover are for

bring back multi!

g job ampachu root for something good but that wont make the format repeat.

my suggestions:

the name will have "legends" on it because there are many shiny legendary pokemon which we dont have yet (shiny groudon etc).

"Call of legends" call also mean that we will have stadiums/supporters which are from johtos gym leaders/elite 4 because it is the last hgss set. pk (last ex set) had stadiums with e4 members. maybe it will be the same for the last hgss set.

The 10th Movie deck kinda cought my eye there because it was all legends, and the set is call of legends after all.

I could see them doing one more run of things like communication, DCE, collector. A few other cards would be nice, like Multi Energ, Cynthia's Feelings, and Night Maintenance.

If I could pick one card to have back, It'd be night maintenance.

what about roseanees gardi dp dusknoir?

Night Maintenance is plausible because it is a useful, generic card like SSU and Warp Point - it can easily be reprinted without being off-theme. You can't say that about Roseanne - she is a DPP character and wouldn't fit in a HGSS set.

The chances of key DP-on card like Claydol, Gardy, Dusknoir etc being reprinted is just about zero. I sort of hope people are joking when they bring those up. I mean, if you are going to reprint just about every major playable card from the series why bother to have a rotation at all?

Gardevoir and Claydol aren't going to get printed. Most likely.

Dusknoir DP is a possibility; I don't know what else they'd print from DP(assuming they'd try to represent all sets). Magnezone maybe? Infernape?

Night Maintenance and Multi are both great ideas.

I kind of think they'll end up reprinting something less used, like Furret SW. Actually, reprinting Ho-Oh SW would be kinda interesting, with Electrode Prime now in the format.

Also, reprinting Gallade SW without Gardy would be...somewhat sadistic. So they might do that. And I'll probably laugh.

What about reprinting Call Energy? It's almost definitely a card worth reprinting, and since MD will most likely be rotated out, this seems like the perfect set to reprint it.

cards im hoping get reprinted in list of importance

dp dusknoir ape magnezone
mt maintence lake boundary lucario x
sw gardi furret ho-oh
ge togekiss cressila x felecitys
md call energy leafon x empoleon

I don't see why everyone thinks that cards that have been rotated out will be reprinted that makes no sense...since they've been rotated out. I wasn't around for Power Keepers, but did they actually rotate back in cards that were just rotated out? I'd assume that this set would just reprint cards that will see play throughout the format like Pokemon Collector, Pokemon Communication, and other staples along with other very playable cards from the other HGSS sets along with stuff possibly from the Arceus set (if that).

IF they do reprint stuff from pre MD then they are making things really confusing for kids...

I didn't base that off what I think, it was directly from what the company said. They account for around 70% of their TCG sales to be from collectors. Argue all you want you'll get nowhere with it. You seem to think that every card in every set should be aimed at people who just play the game even when those types account for as Jimmy said less than 1%. They need a balance of playable cards and collectible cards in the sets to appeal to the total market and that's exactly what they have. And still some people... whine when it isn't all their way.

If you're one of those "far more people who play and don't give a care about collect-ability" I invite you to come on over to my trade thread...

Yea but it really does not make any sense, What is my familys spending counting as, collectors or players? I have collected Pokemon cards ever since base set first came out. I try to catch one of every English card ever made. Now I realize that I will never have everything (World Championship trainers for instance I will never have) but I do the very best I can. I buy every alt card and gift box promos that come out. I purchase all of the tins and go to Pokemon League for the promos that they have there. I attened prereales to get the prelease promos and Cities/States regionals (and one Nationals) to the the cards offered there. I also buy the world championship decks and Theme decks so I can get the special cards there. And I try to collect one of every card in each set both regular and reverse holo versions.

But durring this same time me and my family have particapted in Pokemon Organized play ever year but for one from the very first year on. (We took 2003 off while my wife was pregnant with our daughter) So I also buy cards to build decks and compete with them.

So how our the dollars that my family spends counted? When I purchase a theme decks and some booster packs durring leage from the Hobby store that hosts our Pokemon league is that player dollars?

And when I pick up a gift box with an HootHoot promo and a booster pack are those dollars counted a collector spending?

sedont think it is possible to say that such and such spending is by collectors and such and such other spending is by players. I also do not think they count all of the money that is spent by players at preresleases. That is quite a bit of real players spending that is not counted in this, but it reaaly shoud be included. Each prerelaese my family is spending $150.00 to $300.00 depending on how many events we attened in the two weekends of the prerelease. That money really adds up and should be counted.

Guys, why would they ever bother reprinting Pokemon cards? Why not just put the same attacks/powers that you all loved onto DIFFERENT cards? And that's if they even want to actually keep those things in the format, which they probably don't. Sorry to break it to you!

That's a good question (where I'm at as well btw) that I have no answer for. I don't have privy to whatever sales statistics they base their info on; I just know that's what they said before the post was modified/deleted/whatever happened to it.

Steven Stone made a brief guest appearance in HGSS.

Fingers crossed for the last chance at seeing Steven's Advice!
