Are we discounting Giratina so soon? Mew, Jirachi, Celebi, Manaphy, a combined Ho-oh Lugia, multi-Deoxys formes, (multi-Rotom forms :V), pixie-duos, Heatran (eh), or possibly Arceus?

Charizard, Blastoise, Venusaur Primes would be neat, since we didn't get Lv. X's of them (aside from the zard SP)

Legendary Bird primes OR legend pieces (like the dogs) would be interesting as well.

Mewtwo Prime would be neato.

Even something like a gyarados, garchomp, deoxys, rayqyaza, nidoking/queen primes would be cool.

You're being blindly arrogant to solid evidence against your opinion. The fact that this set is of a similar style to Power Keepers, a set not "of the HGSS era", means that what "era" evidence comes from is hardly of importance. Your point (collapses? lays down? falls over? sits?).
 
Red and blue Gyarados legend. All of my dreams would come true.
More realistically, a legendary birds legend would be neat and reminiscent of the moltres, zapdos, artucuno jumbo promo from back in the day.

LOL! We've gotten 4 whole sets in the HGSS era! There were 16 in the ex era. I was simply pointing out your flawed logic loop. I'm not saying that anything printed as a Prime will definitely be a Legend, but you can't really categorically state that they can't be. There is plenty of evidence that Pokemon will print their Creatures when and how they feel, even repeatedly as special cards in back to back or in the very same sets.

True as that is...wouldn't you like a Mew&Mewtwo Legend? I can see it having one attack preventing it from basics, and one from evolutions. Or a devolution attack and an energy absorber.
 
It will likely be Mew/Mewtwo Legend, if anything. Only 2 Pokémon have had their own Legend, and they were game mascots of the signature games of a generation, and had roles in the plot of the games. Mewtwo is a hidden Pokémon that plays no role in the games' plot. There is no way it is important enough to get its own Legend, especially given major legendaries like Rayquaza and Dialga didn't get one of THEIR own.
