Its Japanese name is a reference to the magician Uri Geller, replacing the ri character with the visually similar n character. Uri Geller claimed to have the ability to bend spoons with his mind, which is probably why Kadabra carries a spoon. Geller attempted to make a case against Nintendo of America for using his likeness in a character and lost.

I stocked up on 24 of the Gengar primes for about $15 per. I think these cards will go for $50 after rotation, when SP is dead and LostGar takes over the format (like Japan.....).
 
Hopefully, there's a bunch of Trainer reprints in here. I could use some more Collector, Communicator, and other GS era Trainers...
 
Whaaaaaaaaaaaatt!? No Claydol, no Roseanne's Research, and no Night Maintenance!? Pokemon just dropped a load of cash just to make bad reprints.

Well, it is a reprint set, so buying a box is probably not warranted unless you're a collector... or if the foil energies (not confirmed) are awesome enough to melt your face off. I guess the possibility of getting multiple reverse Lost World cards could also mean you'd have excellent trade-fodder for any players that wanted to bling out their decks.
 
Okay people i was right in call of the legends there where no cards from platnium or diamond and pearl you people need to face it there not brining thouse cards back. But im glad there re printing ninetails from hgss.

This set is all reprints and promos. Major, major letdown.

I can't believe the shiny pokemon are the ultra rares and that TPCi had the audacity to make new non-shiny versions of these cards to use as normal rares. What a waste of rare slots!
 
Kinda sad, still waiting for the rumored primes. But anyway, there is no point to flaming this set, PK had exclusive cards because P!P got allowed to print them by the japanese (or thats what I assume) and if they didnt get anything this time they cant really do anything about it. THey have to print something :/
 
So far, for me at least, this set looks like it will be well worth my investment. I'm seriously low on staple Trainers, and it looks like there are tons of those in here. From the scans I've seen so far, looks like Collector and Communicator have a chance of being in here (YES!!!), so I'll probably be opening at least my usual 2 boxes of this set.
