Even the suggestion of these being in the set (especially the first two) makes me want to vomit.

Isn't it bad enough that the Shining Secret Rares of this set are already reprints of very rare Japanese cards without having more???

The mass release of an English equivalent to a super rare Japanese collectible counterpart has never influenced the value of the Japanese card. The Japanese card is still extremely scarce and those who collect them know that and pay accordingly. I say bring them on! Of course I may be a little biased in my reasoning...

The release of any reprint of a card will lower its value, regardless of differences in language.

The reason for this is that some of the secondary market will substitute demand for the original with demand for the reprints.

While a few collectors may be concerned with the rarity of the cards, many more will not care and opt for the cheaper version of the same card.

Tell that to the Daisuki Pikachu.

The DPt one started out at high value, dropped slightly with the L-P reprint (which was still very rare), then the value of both fell with the HGSS English release.

It'll go back up. It hasn't been out for all that long. In the long term it will keep a value relative to its availability. The Japanese reprint will hurt it far more than an English counterpart though.

Card availability is a good thing. I understand the collectors perspectives, but having more cards is never a bad thing. I understand the sentiment, but I can never get behind it.

You know what would be a fun reprint IMO. Delcatty PK and Electivire SW. I know it won't happen, but I really want to utilize the Raichu Prime! But That is me just hoping!

Not sure if it has been mentioned, but a new Reverse Holo replacement would be cool, we've had the same boring foil since DP. (big dissapointment on all the shinies)

What are talking about? It says that it removes the Special Condition after you attack. So you just Poison Structure the same turn you use the attack.

lol yeah i'm dumb plus i assumed you would use the first attack to poison yourself and then use the second attack. skuntank g is gold for seviper

I wouldn't be surprised if they started using the stitch foil. Since they use it for LP's and Rewards Energy, that would mean they have it readily available to print with.

The problem with that is the playing community has gotten used to seeing those for rewards, not pulls. Not saying it's totally out, just that it'd be strange.

I'm not sure if anyone else here has seen the Black & White cards, but the secret rares have an awesome glittery effect on them. I think it'd be cool if that replaced RHs. It'd be kind of similar to what was done in the whole EX series, but with a different foil treatment. That assuming, though, that they'd spring for a different foil for the cards. :/ Japan's gotten better foil on their cards since Base Set, I don't really expect it to change now.

This would be cool. I'd like to see a new foil in the vein of Delta Species foils, myself.

I want them to print a Kadabra. You know....its been about 8 years since we have gotten one. Its about time I say, or Pokemon still not allowed to print it?

They won the court case, IIRC. They're just doing this as a precaution.

Guys, they're not going to reprint Claydol. There is, however, a strong chance of them printing Lost World. Which is what I'm more excited about from a profit point of view, because I'm hoarding Gengar Primes (I have, like, eight) and it's going to be $30/each because it will be BDIF!

If they reprint Mr. Mime or something, that sucks. I hate that card. Either way, though, Lost World and (hopefully) those sick JPN movie swirl energies we haven't gotten yet will be good reasons to buy the set.

And can someone link me to wherever it says we'll be getting English-only Primes? Seems far-fetched.

Gengar Prime is already $30.00. And that is not going to be BDIF. If they don't rotate Platinum (and the reprint gengar SF and all the other awesome cards which I hope that they do) then that will be in like 5th or 6th place.
