This might be the most heated thread for 2011 so far.
Turns out? You knew the cards did not belong to me all along. Why offer $25 store credit when the cards were worth $50? And why even offer $25 if you did nothing wrong? No one agreed to $25. It's a step in the right direction, but you still owe $25 more and a big apology. Me and 10+ others who witnessed/know of this will not support Collector's Cache until this happens. I posted this article because I hoped that you might do what's right. When the employees/manager don't listen, the public does.
Omastar: Tell me if I have this right or not.
Based on what seems to have been said in this thread, you played a trick on another player by taking their 4 Smeargles and giving them to Collector's Cache to hold. The CC's employee may or may not have known why they were holding the cards.
In any event, you took someone else's property and gave it to a 3rd party rather than leaving it alone or giving it to them.
If this is correct, where do you get off doing anything other than apologizing for causing this mess in the first place?
And then, instead, getting a major retailer and supporter of Pokemon into hot water for YOUR bad actions?
Is that right?
No, but libel is
I think there needs to be one story, set in stone, that everyone agrees on.
I've gotten like 3 sides of this story. WHAT IS IT?

A business winning a libel suit against an individual? Not gonna happen. Individuals essentially can dishonestly slander businesses without penalty and that's how it should be. Censorship is a very dangerous thing.
I simply find it hard to believe that Collector's Cache would stake their reputation on $50 worth of cards. I'm sure that they will be compelled to give away four Smeargles in order to please their customers (as the #1 important thing isn't that justice is served, but that the customer is happy) and to boost their image among the local player base. I don't believe $50 is worth fighting for; if I were in charge of Collector's Cache I'd simply replace the Smeargles regardless of whether I had inadvertently sold them.
Pokepop: That is incorrect. Not a joke of any sort. I will adress that tomorrow.
No you don't have it right.
For the record, we have indeed offered the actual victim 4 replacement Smeargle cards and told her that we would even be willing to open sealed booster boxes to get the cards for her.
Also, we have NO RECORD of selling her Smeargle cards. The fact is that they have come up missing and we're willing to do what is necessary to rectify the problem. Unfortunately for the rest of the Pokemon community, we no longer are willing to be an intermediary anymore.
On a positive note, what does everyone think about the next set Black & White & the new online Pokemon game?
So all of a sudden you add two more cards that went missing? Funny you didn't mention it before.
