Colorado City Championships (last updated 1/9/06)

True I guess I didn't consider that. Nevertheless I still can't believe certain Colorado Players have yet to get to the top. It doesn't matter for me anymore though. I don't intend to continue to play in the City series for the rest of the season so that will help your CS Players odds in some respect. Good luck in Wheat Ridge in January anyways.

Well Congrats to Alex and Kristy!! And yes I consider myself a Springs Player seeing how there is no league in Pueblo but it also makes me the King of Pueblo the way Kristy rules WY.

Congratulations on becoming a City Champion Kristy!! I wish I could have been there to see your triumph! As the leader of my "Team Rocket" gym, it makes me proud to see that Dark T-Tar made a good comeback on this day! It's good to see that the Springs players aren't getting ALL the glory this year!

I'm finally getting my CC scheduled on 1/3 at Hobby Town, and I must say that Team Lakewood will have some surprises up our sleeves! I strongly encourage Anders to bring as many players down as you can, because my 10 and unders are pretty "fierce" as well!

I also want to extend a congrats to Adrian as well! I predict that we'll have more fun at States again this year, but hopefully this time I won't end up playing some jerk from Utah that will throw his deck at me again....

Great news 'bout your upcoming CC's Chris.

Missed you at the Springs.
Well unfortunately for me I work weekends and I go to school full time during the week...

What's worse is that they do not let anyone take time off in November or December either... :nonono:

Usually it's very difficult for me to make it to these events, but I try when I can to attend what I can. Hope to see you come down to my CC!

Its Gonna Be on a TUE!!!!!

Yeah, I am not sure if I will have the honors of at least visiting Lakewood CC this year because I will just get back from vacation and I will probably have to work. Not that it matters too badly as I just won one and I don't intend to play in any others.

Registration begins at 10AM when the doors open. I ran my CC last year on the Tuesday right after Christmas and we had a good turnout (35-40 players). I have to run this during this time because my work will not let me take any time off during this time, and since I only work weekends, I'm left with no choice but to run it on league day.

Most kids are still on winter break during this time anyways, so this is the best time we can run it, especially if we want to receive our prize support in time...

So players just out of thought, what have you liked about the Colorado City Championships so far and what do you want to see or not see? I would like to get comments on that for the remaining TO's running any.

What I have liked about Cities so far is that we are running it just like the World Championships as in terms of structure with the exception of keeping things Age-Modified instead of Age-Seperated when needed because of the attenance in some age catagories. Also I think both Ron and Dwyane have done a great job and hopefully Ron will help out more in the remaining Cities. I hope I will bring some side line excitment in some way by simply showing up to at least trade cards (or maybe just plain give some away). Who knows.

p.s. I would also like to inform members of the HOT TIE SOCIETY that they should check out a steakhouse in the Denver Metro Area called the Trail Dust steakhouse. I hear it's a great place to celelbrate any victories you might claim in the upcoming events.

Hehe, I heard that place is pretty good, but I love to go overboard and eat at the best Sushi & Japanese cuisine restaurant in town, Sushi Den!!! Now that is a place for celebrating over the top, and it's best to catch them at happy hour too!

Now Kristy, answer me this...

I sent you some emails and PM's on the 'Gym. Have you received them yet?? I haven't heard a peep from you in a LONG time so I'm not sure if you either didn't get the messages yet or there is some kind of error on my end....  If you get them, let me know...

BTW, Kristy interested players are more than welcome to call either the library or my home #.

Since we don't meet there for league I'm not sure how helpful the Collectormania employees there will be in providing info.

Thanks
-Anders

Ok, my CC has been scheduled as of 12/17, however it is still not in the event locator, so I'll post the details here myself.
