(blame Perfect Dark for my late reply...)

I'll reword Static Bolt once more. It should be acceptable now. And thanks for mentioning Chaos Gym, i didn't know that Pokémon TCG already had a "counterspell"-like effect.

About Dealing With Ashes... I'll still try to make it as simpler as possible... If i fail, then i'll resort to changing the concept. Besides, no one else has complained that it's hard to understand it.

Rockhard Aura has "Before a turn ends" written in it because Pacience counters may be used in the end of your opponent's turn.

EDIT: Ergh, my mind is empty of ideas (again, Perfect Dark is to blame). Tomorrow i'll post something...

If I see any major balance issues or other problems, I will post and say so.
Trainers and Special Energy cards are welcome, not just Pokémon.

Rules for Pokémon-ex:
-All Pokémon-ex must be fully-evolved forms of Pokémon the owning character actually has in Ruby or Sapphire or Emerald. Callback lists and original lists are both valid, but Wallace can only pull from his Ruby/Sapphire list.
-Only one Pokémon-ex per post.

Did someone post the "call back" lists? I am just curious because I see so many Pokemon ex I didn't know the Gym Leaders used. Really sorry if I just glossed over it. I know there is a list of "legal" Pokemon... think we can mark which of them are "Call Back" Pokemon?

Thanks Carrington388. I was getting confused since I hadn't seen a list of specific Call Back Pokemon (and am not far enough in Emerald to see what they are ;) ). Ironically, I could have left my Brawley's Hitmon ex as Pokemon ex. XD

About time I contributed again. If there is a balance or wording issue, please PM me (do not post), and I will attempt to rectify the issue. Also, a note: The Pokémon-ex that Carrington has pointed out as not being valid do not count as part of this set.

This is a work in progress... and I think it might be a little too strong. once someone else posts, expect to see my takes on Lee and Top ex.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name: Brawly’s Hitmonchan ex
Rarity: Pokémon-ex
Pokémon-ex Rule: When Pokémon-ex has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.
Type: Fighting
Stage: Basic
HP: 100
Weakness: Psychic
Resistance: None
Retreat: CC
Poké-Body:
The maximum HP Brawly's Hitmonchan ex increases by 10 for each (F) Energy card attached to it.
Attack#1: (FF) Riposte
Until the end of your opponent's turn, if Brawly's Hitmonchan ex is attacked, flip a coin. If it is heads, prevent all damage done by the attack to Brawly's Hitmonchan, and your opponent flips a coin. If tails, place 3 damage counters on the Pokemon that just attacked Brawly's Hitmonhan ex. (This counts as an attack from Brawly's Hitmonchan ex.)
Attack#2: (FFF) Go For Broke [50]
You may choose to discard all [Fighting] Energy attached to Brawly's Hitmonchan ex. If you do, this attack does 100 damage an ignores all effects on the that would prevent or reduce the damage done by this attack. Discard the [Fighting] Energy after doing damage.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just a basic explanation for why its this way: as with my last three Hitmon, I tried to tap into the underlying martial arts style. The ability of boxers to soak damage is legendary, so I revived a Pokemon power last seen on a Sabrina's Gastly. Although officially a term from fencing, a riposte is when you follow a successful parry with a quick counter attack, and boxing teaches such a technique. It's pretty flippy, but its also a supporting attack. Half the time it blocks damage, and only damage. One in four times it does hit back. The big attack is sort of an homage to a video game I love... other than Pokemon. Can anyone guess? But, to the point, its not great damage, but its solid damage... unless you chuck everything ("Going for broke" means risking it all). It is indeed meant to be a kamikazee attack for when this card is almost dead. After all, due to the Poke-Body, you're lowering your HP by at least 30.

If this card actually seems a hair underpowered (yes, I bounce between over and under), I might tack on a little more HP, or more likely, I'll change one energy requirment in each attack from Fighting to Colorless.

Some of you may have noticed that this topic is a bit shorter now than it was yesterday. I've been going through and deleting my posts that do not have cards in them (well, other than the top post). I ask now that other people who have contributed to this set do the same (exceptions: I would like Carrington's list of remaining ex's and Archonn's set list to remain posted). This would also be a good time for you to double-check your cards for issues concerning balance, clarity, and following the rules -- there are still some that have such issues, and I frankly don't have the time to go through individually and recap them all. If you have any questions as to whether one (or more) of your cards is ok, please PM me (do not post).

EDIT: And now, I think I'll add a card myself. As usual, if there's a balance issue (there very well may be), please PM me about it.
