heres my thoughts on e3

best in show

gears of war 3 they just cant make it any better !

modern warfare 3 i know it looks all the same but it will never change how good it looks

uncharted 3 i dont even have a ps3 and know this games gonna rock

and another game that caught my eye was elder scroll skyrim looks insanley nice

worst in show

resistence 3 not only was the dev rude but he rushed the demo and the game looked horrible

dead island i want the game to be nice but its just going to fall short come release date =/

nba 2k12 letting kobe play was a bad idea so is the ps3 move lol

anf ill have to say the nintendo wii u i mean i was looking foward to a brand spankin new consale not a mini version of the wii with a screen on it lol

I did hear one thing about WiiU that's really disappointing...

Apparently, they're only allowing one WiiPad controller to be used with each system at a time.

If this is true, then WiiU is going to lose the next console generation, and probably won't have any 3rd party support whatsoever.
 
^^ That does suck. Although Miyamoto says he is looking into friends bringing their own controllers over to play, which would then make multiple controllers possible. But there is still plenty of time until the console is released to see what happens.

We haven't even seen an actual game from Nintendo that is going to be on the console!! And the only one we know that will be on from Nintendo is Pikmin 3.

Awesome!
And a good move on Nintendo's part too. If they plan to have the Wii U as the console for everything, (mainly now targeting hardcore players) they will have to scratch the FC idea. Players will just find the Friend Codes annoying to have to add and will stick to XBL or PSN to play online.
 
Lets pretend that my username is Mildcat and I requested Chompy to be my friend on the Nintendo WiiU. Does this mean that I have to type in his username, then wait for Chompy's response to see if he will accept me as a friend or not?

I agree as well, having 1 sole controller per Wii U would be a very bad move on their part...I mean, passing around controllers is lame enough, I'll be damned if I'm gonna let someone else use it, I don't trust certain family/friends to not break it :lol:

Ditching the FCs was long overdue, if that is the route they're going. One of the biggest mistakes by Nintendo entering last gen and wifi...
 
You guy's seem to be forgetting that the WII controllers still work on the wiiU

I'm guessing what was ment by only having one controller pad per system would be only one controller pad's screen could be active at a time.

Bullados where was it you heard this rumor? I really don't see why they would limit it, however I also don't see a limit completly ruining nintendo's chances at getting 3rd party support.


On the other topic, losing FC's would be a huge plus.

The rumor is that no one as seen or demo'd the Wii U using more than one controller. Shigeru Miyamoto said that the Wii U using only one controller is not the final product and said that he is will start investigating things like a friend bringing over their own controller and things like that. Meaning that multiple controllers might be possible.

Well to be fair not eveyone goes to IGN for their news on gaming...

But yeah, E3 winds down, wish I could go one year...sigh. Nintendo to me definitely had the best in showing, all those investors are dumb-blanks though...seriously, stock doesn't go down when you announce a new system, it's supposed to go up idiots...anyways, I know I'll definitely have my (likely) $300 or so waiting for next year to grab a Wii U.

Basically what it is every year, a gaming convention, called E3 takes place in California. They announce the new upcoming games/systems around June and it's a 3 day thing. First day they talk about PlayStation, the 2nd day they mention Nintendo, then finally they talk about Xbox. Not only does the CEO talk about the new games/systems, but the CEO also shows the trailer of the games/systems to give the audience a better idea of what the games/systems are going to be like in the future.

Nothing was mentioned about Fire Emblem. Here are the games they mentioned for the Wii U and 3DS

...or if he meant sites in general, just about any major one like the mentioned IGN, Joystiq, even Cnet has articles about E3 on there somewhere.
