Now folks, I'm off-topic here, but which Salamence/Flygon will be available in the decks? Will they give us the cruddy 30-card deck ones, or the SWEET Gust Salamence/Rainbow Burn Flygon ones?

It's not off topic. :D

My guess is that, since NOA seems to be emulating what NOJ released in Japan, the Salamence/Flygons in the Dragon Precons will be the "cruddy" ones from the ADV3 30-card decks. In fact, I wouldn't be surprized if the deck lists for the Dragon Precons WAS based off the 30-card decks (though not exactly THE 30-card decks because we get 60-card decks :))...

Probably more than there were Fossil Pokemon in the Fossil set. :D

Thats good to know :p I have seen pictures of some of the Pokemon, not the cards, but of the Pokemon, so I can't wait to see what their cards will do.

Hey YuGiCrud, look, we have dragons too, if you finally noticed!

With a name like "EX: Dragon", it's gonna be difficult to NOT want to play this game. :p GOD BLESS CAPITALISM!

Oh yes, its very original :nonono:

I dunno. I really don't believe that nintendo would show off "mock-ups" of the actual product a few months before the product is to be released. Why not show the real thing? Not only does my box of r/s look alot different than the dragons on but I don't think nintendo would change how the deck boxes were made.

Easier.

I don't think nintendo would change how the deck boxes were made.

If I'm percieving the deck box proportions correctly, they use less cardboard (along with looking snazzy).

Wow.....!!!! These are cool packs and deck boxes. :thumb:

If they will be the designs I better save my money for Christmas (even half a box)!!!
No no no no no nonoonononononononono!
You go to a pre-release and WIN 'em! Seriously.

They're not fake, but they are computer made, as it was already explained. But they are not fan-made, Nintendo made them. Still, they are not the actual boxes. Just promotional type things.

When I talked to Jimmer about 2 weeks ago, they way he talked the cards had already been printed. So I see no reason why these decks and packs would be prototypes. Way it sounded, they always print the cards up really early, they just wait until hype around the previous set cools down before releasing a new one.

Eeeheeeheehee! That's just what I did with my Sandstorm, and I'm rolling in my 50 tasty booster wrappers :D

edit: just a reply to android17a's most recent post. I personally would love to see exactly just WHICH card you get. For years I've dealt with either having to find the decklist, or just hoping that I get lucky...no more I say!

You know, the only way I can think of to improve those Theme Deck boxes would be to have a clear window on the front or back where you can see the Rare Holo card that comes with the deck.

If they did that, it would take the fun out of it. Also, kids could probably punch a whole in the back and steal the cards. I have seen at least four open theme decks at my Target, and by showing what the cards look like, kids could get tempted.

Thats what you get for leaving them on a counter. They should be behind the counter like my local stores, so they have to ask if they want one.

I see what you're getting at, though. Kids, tsk tsk.

That would be so cool. Can't see it happening outside of the States, though.

You got that right!!! Unless our local stores that Nintendo chose for Int'l OP would do that independently (Like Christmas is just around the corner)!!!

I'd love it if a local Leicestershire/Warcs area pre-release draft thing could happen. It would be nice if Nintendo would be so kind as to allocate perhaps a dual-county system. Pair two counties together and hold a small pre-release in each. And if not, send me a few free EX Dragon booster boxes and I'll set one up :p

I prefer not putting a window on the box... for one thing that will make anti-Pokemon YuGiOh fans think we're trying to copy their deck box design... Well, blegh to them anyway, look who's copying who? Plus, there's the possibility of damage to the cards from just light hitting them... and of course, the ripping out of the plastic from thieving little kids.

I appreciate the abscence of cute/cuddly pokemon from the display and packaging material. Some people are going to look at this stuff and say, "Hey, where's the Pikachu thingy? I thought this was Pokemon! Oh, it is."

man, nice art! it is a nice change from the overused sugmori pics. His pics are accurate, but lack "life", which is what TCG boxes need sometimes. Also, this set is really getting me back in the game, because finally the c00l new pokemon are getting a shot at the tcg.
