The "illegal" reason is convincing, yet...not convincing.

Zappy is the most simple deck of the RS-on format. However, just because Dual Balls and elekids will be illegal doesn't mean that players won't try to find ways to play them. The deck is still very much legal =/

Here's the thought process of a beginning player:

"wow, what an awesome deck this Zapdos thing is! I want to build it on my own!"

"Oh wait, there are a few illegal cards in it? Really? :frown: "

"Oh well, I can still take a few things out, put a few things in... "

Illegal cards didnt' stop people from buying the decks from LAST year, did they? :/

No, but it's the reason that we can't use them in tournaments stopped me from buying them.

Yeppers. =) :biggrin: :biggrin: :biggrin:

BTW, tell Curran if he runs for President in 2024 he has my vote:

Curran is behind, badly because his cards are hiding against a strong opponent, and need a heads.
He reaches for a die and flips... heads!!!
"Oh wait, I need to flip with this dice," says Curran.
He reaches out for the PUI supplied blue dice, instead of his own dice he just flipped for a heads, and rolls again...

just wondering since Micheal used a Ludicargo what tech did he use? Lanturn or Rhydon? just curious coz im a big fan of ludicargo

Ummmm is that the Jeff Grubb that wrote Cormyr?!?!

That would be correct (well, "wrote with Ed Greenwood"). I'm doing some content management for the OP site right now.

More importantly, does Jeffers get hit with the PUI-logo stick?
His e-mail isn't a PUI address, so I need some official confirmation!

Jeffers = PUI employee. Give the man a logo!

You were allowed to flip a coin though. I thought you could flip a coin, but if you used a dice, it HAD to eb the PUI-issued dice >_>

Wow, a real writer.

Maybe they can get you to do rewrites on the Anime?
There's always hope.

Straight from the Team Meanstreet Camp, Mikey Gonzales releases his first official statement upon hearing the announcement of his printed deck:

"The tournament was fun, and look forward to competing in 10- again in 2006." - Mike Gonzales, Newest Inductee into Team Meanstreet.

Funny thing is, Mike only played for 3 months. The Gym Challenge he played in to get his invite (Los Angelas) he got second place to his cousin (Anthony) who already had an invite. I blame myself for Mike not being more prepared for the Worlds tournament, however he did place well. The morning of the big day, he didn't even know what he was playing. All I did was hand him an updated version of the Ludicolo I used to get two third places at two regionals, and ironically he finished number 3 himself.

The most amazing thing is that he is only 9 years old, so he will be back to play in the same division in 06. I can assure you, this time he will be much more prepared and will be ready to take on potential challengers. Btw, the name of the Mike Gonzales deck will be, "King of the West". So look to see this rising star at future events!

I can just see Martin hanging around the check out counter at Target.
"That 10 year old's deck you're buying? It's really my deck. No, really! I swear!! Don't you want me to sign it? Come back!!"

Would been nice to see Acid Sampler printed.. this was another rogue orginial that coulda been a contender. Everyone's Decks are "Worth" Printing... most of them got the players there with a few tweaks or changes! It is great to see such a diverse group of Decks though!
