FLORIDA State Pokemon Weekend

Florida represent!

Several things need to be noted:
Team Upset is FTW (not really though)
Florida is going to stomp Arizona
Is THE Jason really going to be there!?! (i feel like a giggling school girl)
Is the PKM room rate $109? (that's what my mom Freda and me are looking at)
When does everything start Friday? ( i have school and other such trivial non Pokemon matters that i am being forced to attend)
I am so excited right now!!!!!!!!

2009 Florida State Champ has arrived in town! Stevie n John you know your my boys but now that AZ is in the House it's time to get busy. I want to thank Mr. Silvestro in advance for giving me a place to sleep, and feeding while her. Giving me full run of your house is great and you know I appreciate everything but your not keeping your title. Polish up the last 2, but wave goodbye to the third. If you come out to Zona and visit I will let you polish mine.

To John and Roberta for Everything they have done to help the game grow and to help out friends.

Ro, this is Spurlock. Change of plans. i just x-0ed steve, John and Ken all night.

Guess I'm playing , not judging- playing to well not to. And the trophy will look so nice
in Az. LOL

I'll leave my address so you can ship my glass home to me. I'd hate to see anything
happen to my 1st place trophy on the flight.

I've offered Silvestro visitation- maybe I'll let him dust it off once a year.

He wasn't impressed.

I'm making the LONG drive, ALONE to make it to this state. It's 5.5 hours from Tallahassee by myself to Omar's house, and then from Omar's to the event tomorrow morning. See you tomorrow, and good luck all!
 
Excuse me, Ro i think you said that was your name . I have planned on being an active judge ever since i was invited to come here and hang in Florida. But I had also planned on being an Active Judge and play at the same time. Don't worry i wont slack off on my judge duties just because im planning on playing in this event . I might have to extend some matches in order to finish my own but i will try to keep the. event moving and have us out of there before 1 or 2 am . Why are you trying so hard to exclude me from your event, this judging thing you keep talking about sounds great but it sounds more like your trying to stop me from playing in Floridas big event just to make sure I don't leave wit Mr. Silvestros prized possesion, TOUGH!!! I will not be held out of an event that I KNOW I will win and so do you. Don't hate the player.

Playing and judging in the states tournament ? I hope that's a joke because it isn't allowed in a sanctioned event.

25 Masters
16 Seniors
11 Juniors

30-50 more for league and open play

Can't wait for tommorrow.

Doors open at 8:00
Registration starts at 8:30 and ends at 10:00

Friday Blast!

Sounds like Friday was super! I was only there for the Saturday main event with more than half of the Falcon's Nest Club. :thumb: An amazing event! :pokeball:

Our little Robin finished just outside final cuts at 17 in the Senior division. Looks like I have a lot of work to do with the troops before we invaid the Regionals next month!

I would like to thank all of the judges and organizers that took great pains to make this event a huge success and enjoyable for all! Even if I had to play Steve S. in the first round! How do I get John first in City's and then Steve at states? If losing is learning - then I'm certainly learning a lot about Poke'mon!

Sorry about the T1 donk Beltiger.

It was my first time finishing a tournament (went 3-4, good enough for 3 horrible starts as well as being power sprayed on T2 for my uxie in round 1). Overall I had a lot of fun and I can't wait for regionals. I've definitely got to change my deck for it though, probably gigas or SP's if I can get it working properly by then, or I'll just make a deck to mess with my opponents like Wailord.

WOW, Florida States is over. We have several people to say THANK YOU to.

1st: Thanks to PUI for giving us the privilege of running this event. We would also like to thank the Players and parents. (Hope you had fun)

thanks to all Floridians for letting me be a part of your States. Was longer then i had hoped but enjoyed every minute. There ws definately some GREAT matches to be able to peek in on and some very talented deck building. To the entire staff I say Thank You and would work with all of you any time. Ro and Randy, all the time and effort put in to making Florida States what it was showed, and you should be very proud of what you were able to give to the State.The turn out was tremendous and the play was hands down. Again let me repeat, staff, judges, volunteers, players and especially Ro and Randy, Thank You for letting me be a part of Florida States.

On a side note I would like to also say a very sincere and heart felt thanks to the entire Silvestro family for welcoming in Wes and myself in to there home and giving us a place to stay and enjoy their company. Have always had a great time with the Silvestros no matter where were at but to open up your home and make us feel as welcome as you did, truly 1st class people. Much love to the entire family
 
Agreed, the event was a home run!! Great event, amazing venue that gave the event a
"worlds" feel to it.

MAJOR props to Ro, Randy and the ENTIRE staff that made the event possible. Thank you :)

To my boy Jim Roll, I can't tell you how happy I am for you. Like me , you absorb yourself
in the cards- this game- and FINALLY the planets lined up and let you win what I would call a
major event. Take a bow my friend, you have earned ( i do wish I got my shot at you though ;) ).

And to Bobby Malec. You , sir, earned my respect yesterday like not too many have in this game.
Your actions were noble and EXEMPLIFY what SOTG is. You sir are the 2009 Florida state Champion
in my book!

As for Mr. Spurlock, wait til' you get the bill LOL

Seriously, you are and have been like family to us for years- someone we both
are lucky to have had crossed our paths in life. Same for Wes. Mi casa is su casa anytime my
friend.You sir are -and have always been- aces in my book ;)
