Ah PokePop beat me to the punch
If everyone plays sabledonk on purpose to get the rotation before nats wouldn't that be counter productive to the point?
When the TOs submit those BR decklists and reports and P!P sees that EVERYONE played Sabledonk, then there is not much data to go through. You need a diverse environment to show that either sabledonk is bad or is a fluke. Just out right telling everyone to play a sabledonk doesnt say anything other than that everyone played sabledonk to push for a rotation.
I personally do not mind if the rotation happened before Nats, but you have to make it obvious that sabledonk is bad in a DIVERSE metagame, not just everone playing the sabledonk. With all those hate threads right now, I want to see the numbers when you pair sabledonk to vilegar or vilechamp or magenzone, where all of these decks play SPIRITOMB.
What I see right now is that sabledonk has effectively limited SP (which everyone has whined/voiced about in the past) so while sabledonk effectively lowered SP play, it has increased spiritomb, which makes stage 2 decks now even more viable.
