Atm Ice doesn't play very well against VEX it kinda can't be played.
just a Heads up Vex will eat Rock Lock and Pidgot dependent Decks Draggy might have a shot with its Resitence.

what is up with people playing atm ice, it isn't better than a counter gym since you waste an attack.

"I atm ice"
"I build and ko your active" gg

remember: ATMIce protects your current active from attacks for the next turn.

Too bad ATM: Ice might be rotated out, because it should be atleast alittle more popular now. It has a rather nice effect, and can be put to some use now with some powerful stadiums and tools coming out.

Is it me or his blaze going to be killer once again at worlds or at least regionals now or what. Thats is so freaking awesome. Great and not to mention as everyone knows now we all have or perfect tech -card for well nearly every top-tier deck now. Hmm its very interesting to see how playable BLEX is going to be and we all know Zappy's like hmm that doesn't bother me whatsoever. VEx and muk ex will be kiler now too. MAn poor rock-locks just a few weeks ago everyone was talking how rock-locks can take over worlds well now uh. MAn a lot(metagame) can change really fast. lol

All you people are straight up trippin. You are trying to tell me a metagame has been changed from a card that ISN'T even out YET? This type of attitudes come from players who will never win a big event. Just wait for it to come out, then play your little stadium. Let's talk about something productive, like worlds 06!

well playa just so you know the best players prepare for a possible metagame change beforehand well in this case it will change with it. If you wait till a broken card comes out you won't be as equipped to beat out the game. But hey everybody has there own way to go about their road to victory.

you are complaining about us talking about a card that blatently hurts about 80% of the top tier decks? well, lets take a look at things:
-prereleases for emerald: april 30th, may 1st, may 7th, may 8th
-set released in stores: may 9th
-first regional (also the one i'll be at): may 14th
so, even if the card isn't out yet, it is safe to assume that by now, the card is already made and is in booster packs that have already been shipped out to people who are running the prereleases. basically, we can't stop the card from existing, and the only thing we can do, is find ways to stop the card in the game, because knowing most players, they will probably be going nuts, trying to find ways to rebuild their regionals decks.

All I have to say is thank god for BigPoppaBeatdown!

He rocks at finding decks and counters to this card!

I know Colin has been working feverishly, but I am putting my pencils on one of my HJs at the Regionals!

Just remember, buy packs, buy them often!!!

You have 7 days to accumulate these cards!

Talk to you soon!

I just got up to date after a busy weekend. WOW.
Anyone want to trade 3 pidgeot's for 3 Battle Stadiums?

I just put together a Rock Lock deck this weekend, in a partial concession of it's current superiority.
I was going to put together an updated Blaziken whom it seems to be the two toughest competitors out there to play test against.
My meta-game concept for regionals was focusing on KO'ing Pidgeot with a Cradily / Zapdos one two punch. I guess, I can put that on hold.

I am glad the card is out there. It reopens the board.

lol lucky me i was juat about to buy a bunch of ttars and pidgeots but then decided not to cuz of this. also everyone said the only thing good bout this set is milotic ex and holo nrg well listen to wat m45 everyone is going nuts over 1 card so everyone is gonna be either buying emerald packs or buying lots of other cards cuz they need to counter it

Yeah, anyone want to trade my ROCKLOCk, DRAGTRODE, and SALLY decks? Because they just got nerfed to hell. If I exect to run them, I've got to run at least three more counter-gyms, thereby making my decks less consistent. w00t!

Battle Frontier is something I'm looking forward to seeing as how original decks are very rare. At the same time, this will also become a staple. A double-edged sword...go figure.

What I'm surprised the most about is that no one has mentioned that DX Shiftry decks have become so much more effective beecause of this card. Not only will you disable, you will deal 20 more damage along with the 50 that you alreayd have. Add a Crystal Shard or two, and you have yourself a very challenging deck.

1) Consistency. You have NO space to run 4 gyms. If you do, your deck will be so inconsistent it's not even worth using.
Saying that running four copies of a card that hasn't been released yet (and, therefore, it hasn't been tested with yet to an extent) inconsistent isn't probably the best thing to say. Running two is a given in any deck for the metagame. Three I can understand. If someone were to be that bold and try a deck with four of them, I would definately like to see the results on that one.

Personally, I would see four very effective. However, it's all based on how the one player builds their deck. We shouldn't be scolding them or giving a slap on the wrist (or the hand  )for thinking of something as putting FOUR copies of ONE stadium in a deck. People put FOUR copies of Dunsparce in a deck because of it's effectiveness, and no one complains about it. This is the same exact situation where we are given a card that brings out so much potential and can be played with four copies without worry. For goodness sake, we still have 54 more cards to put into the deck.

It still has its weaknesses as it only targets EVOLVED Pokemon that are DARKNESS, METAL, or COLORLESS. Do I see Fire? Do I see water? Grass? Obviously not.

There are still some archetypes that work. This isn't anything to get all frustrated about. I hate to sound rude or heartless, but I won't feel any sympathy for someone who won a championship with Dark Heart or Rock-Lock and find out that they can't use it anymore. This is nothing more but challenging their deck building skills.

And whoever said that Sally was dead? It doesn't always need the power in order to work. These decks aren't dead, they have just been weakened a little bit. I can still see Dark Amphy doing good, but maybe not as a Rock-lock deck *thinks about his Dark Amphy/xatu deck*

Hopefully this card will be EXTREMLY rare to get. I can see it valued at rare candy. I hope i pop one at the pre-release this saturday. I might be playing speedrill at reginals or Vilex.

Yeah, weakened, you mean nulled? The entire purpose/premise of the combo is to have free retreat, DW, bring sally, own, rinse/repeat. Now, neither of those sallys can use their powers, and sally can't either. In a pure sally deck, you usually only run sparce/sally/pidgeot.

Guess what, you know have NO powers. You can't wind, you can't have free retreat, you can't quick search. The combo was water/fire-quick search for boost then OHKO. Do that 2-4 times since you can search every turn, not anymore. Sally just got nerfed ridiculously >_>

People were saying milotic ex was going to own rocklock, and that milotic ex was going to change the format more than any other card, but no one is saying that this card will change the format significantly? Psh, please.

You know, I've been thinking about this. I could just submit into the idea that Rock-Lock is dead, but a.) I don't want to, and b.) I can't afford to.

So I'll continue my worthless argument. You don't actually need 4 counter-stadiums. How often do you really NEED Pidgeot's power during a game? Maybe twice. Sure, it's useful the rest of the game, but in my experience Pidgeot does its true duty the time you put it into play. I think Rock-Lock could get by with 2 counter-stadiums... maybe 3.

I just don't see this card's greatness. To stop Rock-Lock from destroying your stadium, YOU have to sacrifice spots in your deck.

Milotic, I get. This just doesn't make sense though.
