Any card that potentially changes ALLLLLLLL the major archetypes is just stupid.
Why? YOu make a comment like this, but you do not give any real reason why. Perhaps, right before the Major tournament season starts a new scramble to create new archetypes given the new cardsd is a good thing. When the decks change, it keeps the game from getting stale.
There will always be cards which completely change the metagame...ATM Rock anyone?

IMO, it's the improper way of making balance changes. Instead of introducing new, creative combos with cards like they obviously made for salamence, rocklock/dragtrode(look at the TRR theme decks ffs, the theme decks are the first dragtrode and rocklock..), etc.
Not to mention it will hurt the crap out of people who RAN the archetypes. "Sorry kids, you just made your decks and made them all nice and specific to your style, but now, right before regionals/GC and world's, we're going to introduce a card that will make your decks null, either that, or force you to run MANY counter gyms just to keep up. Sorry for the inconvenience, try to TRADE and make a new deck in time, playtest it and tweak it to your needs before any major tournament. Don't mind that once Frontier comes out, the trade value for cards like TTars, amphys, and pidgeots will all decrease, and thus make it harder to trade for new cards, it's all okay. Simply buy more boosters!"
I never said I don't like rogue decks. But the way to balance a game isn't to release a card that makes it flip over(putting the best on the bottom and the worst/weirdest up top) right over the most major part of the season. Instead of doing that and reversing the stupid moves they made in the first place (dragtrode and rocklock=two best decks in the format right now, and they're virtually the same as the TRR theme decks, what a coincidence. if nintendo didn't realize the combos they had LAID out in TRR, then they are extremely dull).
I'm just angry because it took months for my friend and I to make our decks(sally, rocklock, and dragtrode) and now it is right before regionals, and trading off those cards will be very hard to do. Who will want to trade for a card that was just recently nerfed to hell? Not many. And even if they do, it will be worth less to trade, so you won't be able to trade off as many cards. Not to mention there will be a flood of the cards. Everyone will take apart their dragtrodes and rocklocks, and there will be an ample amount of the cards that were in it, further decreasing the trade values of cards like delcatty, pidgeot, dark TTar, dark amphy, dark electrode, etc.
It's silly to nerf the most powerful DECKS, and the most powerful TYPES in the format.(dark and metal, simply because the energy they use increases their power) and colorless pokemon(the most used/numerous of all types)
