H1N1 virus[Swine Flu], your opinions?

First case of the flu spreading from human to human in UK today!!!! AHHH!!! Remember back to when bird-flu was the huge drama and would kill everyone..... has everyone died....no.
 
The simple way to keep anything from spreading is to say home when your sick. If your going out just make sure you wash your hands and don't thouch your face you should be good. Though this bug is sure spreading fast. There are some cases here in Wisconsin though it's not "official" yet.

I'm sorry, but this is stupid. Swine flu is already in the US. Its already here. Closing the border won't stop it. Besides, the people in the US who caught it are NOT immigrants, illegal or otherwise. They are people who where on vacation in Mexico, caught it there and brought it back to the US. And what about all the other Americans who are on vacation in Mexico? Are they just supposed to stay there when the border is closed? Why is this so difficult to understand?
 
Anyone who thinks the border should be closed should SAS. It would do nothing good and do A LOT of bad.
 
Do you guys remember the last swine flu outbreak we had.
Only one person died from the Swine Flu, but when people took the vaccination 25 people dies from that.
Im just saying in not too worried about the swine flu.


Just for laughs I even made my backpack a GermX Dispenser. For people who are afraid,like yesterday i went to a league and some kid said, "I will not play you if you don't wash your hands."
I said "Ok", Then i took some germ x on put it on my hands.
He said " Can i have some too"

I think its because these are only 'confirmed' cases. There are 6 'suspected' cases of swine flu in MD. The hospitals sent samples off to the CDC to confirm that it's actually swine flu.

Dang, I feel bad now, I was kidding. I just wanted to see what people would say. Also, I have heard there are actually 2 Confirmed Cases in Missouri...search "Platte County." They aren't releasing the other location in Missouri, IDK why:confused:

Well, the good news is that it isn't the same strain as was in 1918 that wiped out a good number of people. In homage to the disease, I have a Piloswine to remind me of how ugly this disease truly is!
 
School is epic with this running around.

As soon as one person coughs, everyone points fingers at that person and screams "SWINE FLU".

Apparently a lot of people actually have immunity to that particular strain.
 
I think because the media overhyped the H1N1 Virus is why it isn't going to be as bad. Because of the media, when we have a cough, we will probably go to the doctor.

We[The United States] is a nation of people who are afraid, and in this case, that's probably a good thing.

Well Obama is pres and swine flu.

All jokes aside, lemme give you guys some numbers and see what you all think:
The regular flu infects around 100,000 people a year (approximation)
The regular flu kills around 1,000 people a year (directly or indirectly)
There have been about 200 known cases of the swine flu
Less than 20 people have died from the swine flu

Which is worse?
