How was the Vendor At Nats?

To be honest the prices of some cards were a little high, but that is pops fault for allowing there to be only one vender. Gathering grounds was just doing what made since. If a card sells for a price sell it at that price, and with no other vendor people can't buy another card.

In the end I don't think there would be half of the complaints as there are if the employees were just a little nicer. People will have no problem over a few dollars if the person selling is nice. I loved everything else about gg, great selection, ok prices on most cards, and they bought cards I don't want. Thank you for the business at nationals and have a good day.

How come the problem of them selling BOOTLEGS of the Pokemon Games is not being touched?
We think it is stupid that they would not even refund us after it turned out to be boot leg.

It was obvious it was a knockoff. They didn't give refunds on any product, so that's no surprise.

As far as the knockoff being there, I'm not sure anyone cares. It's a 10 year old game that's out of productions. I'm sure Nintendo CARES, but it's not hurting their business any that GG was selling 5-10 copies of knockoffs.

It is DEFINITELY hurting their REPUTATION, that the ONLY vendor they had allowed, were selling FAKE merchandise, especially of their OWN products!

Well I am playing it now and it has good Engrish.
Not English
From the game:

"Look this is
you need surf."

Okay I am enjoying it, but it kinda ruins my veiw on the store even more and kinda Pokemon.

-.- The guy at the store was a pretty big jerk to me. Everybody else was bringing their cards in in those white collector cardboard card boxes, and he looks at their cards maybe once and then takes them, gives them their money and they go on their way.

Well, I had to use a shoebox. He doesn't even LOOK at my cards. He just scowls at the box, peers inside for maybe ten seconds and goes "oh, they're damaged. I can't buy these." He refused to even look at them... just because they were in a bloody shoebox. I finally coerced him to buy them for a penny a piece, but it's still crap because other people had cards in worse shape than mine and got full price... just because they were in those pretty white boxes instead of a sneaker box.

Dude will not get my business after this year. This isn't even counting the fact that he half-ignored me for the rest of the event after that.

I only browsed, but I wasn't impressed with the customer service I witnessed. Sure, it was busy, but I'm a customer service supervisor, and it was just sad to see... I'm running back and forth dealing with people 40+ hours a week, and I was upset enough not to buy even though there were items I was interested in purchasing.

He was really rude to me. He told that all of my cards were junk and yelled at me. :frown: I saw him offer people $1 for Rotoms and then sell them for $6-7.

^Jran Sakarra please scan your copy in/ ie the package it came it.
As I recall the package did seem kinda suspicious when I saw it too.
Thanks Tina :)

Sure I will get the box from my friend.
The box to me was a easy spot knock off all but the green.
When i asked to look at it they said they would not show me the cartrage.
I know better then to buy that.

Of course, but also remember that many of the complainers in this thread are complaining in those threads too.

Nowhere near the 300 complaints suggested in this thread.

How many people had a bad experience and don't use the gym?

I first-hand did not appreciate GG as the only dealer. The thread seems to have exhausted the reasons already, but f you want to chat about it at Worlds find me.

Yeah, he chose not to take advantage of the fact he was the only vendor there. It was pretty good I actually got some nice steals. Like buying out all of his MT azelfs.

Believe it or not, people are actually willing to pay a little bit more at a store where the staff is considerate than at a store that has items priced for less but is rude.

The new trend in customer service is to be considerate to the customer. Customers who feel that the staff was not rude are more likely to return.

Yeah when staff is nice you'll wanna come back for cards you just kinda need but if their mean you just wanna stay away. Do you think they'll change the one vendor policy next year? If no, will they ask GG again?

I hope to see Collector's Cache at Nationals next year. My friend Behman runs this store. He was the one who was handing out free yellow PokeNation t-shirts. His store was deprived of a lot of Pokemon business that he would usually receive at Origins, which stinks, because that can really hurt someone in the singles business. They rely on Nationals for a lot of their Pokemon-related income. I've never heard anyone have any problems with Behman or Collector's Cache. He goes out of his way to please people. We stopped by his store in Kansas City when we were doing a league visit, and Behman had base set theme decks. I hadn't seen them in years, and told him the Overgrowth deck was my first deck - he just gave me one for free.
