HS3 - Undaunted

How sad, I have a feeling Gengar Prime won't be in this set. Gah I won't want to wait until 2011 to eat people up with Gengar! Nevertheless. I'm sure the set will bring many new cards that may or may not change the format entirely.
 
Um, why are people hoping for lost zone cards to be in here? Why wouldn't the be all together? We have more than enough primes to put into this set, three of which are confirmed and another is implied. It's more than likely, because of the fairly large group of pokemon that are involved with the lost zone from the lost link set, that they're all going to be together.

Agreed. That's if we even GET LL. Let's face it, there have been sets in Japan that never made it to America, precisely because they were overpowered. (The old VS set is the most notable example) If LL did come out in America, it would completely change the metagame. Pretty much everyone would have to play Lost Link cards to stand a chance, and there would be so many Gengar Prime mirror matches it wouldn't even be funny. Honestly, I wouldn't mind if the majority of LL never saw the outside of Japan. Except Hunter. :D I hope we get Hunter.

On Topic: Loving this. All the Raichu lovers will be able to play their dreamed-of Raichu Prime Lv X!

The VS Sets were an exception bcause they were never meant for competetive play, we WILL get LL cards unless somethin very odd happens. Japanese players always had to adjust to play worlds but this would be like playing a different game...

I never meant to seem like I was saying we were never going to get the LL stuff, just that it's practically been confirmed that we're not going to get it this set. I think it's ridiculous to think we're not getting those cards, even more ridiculous to think it'll run amok over the format with nothing to support it like claydol doll had stage 2 decks. I still think SP will dominate.

Gonna make the Theme Deck Challenge at least somewhat more palatable for many players. PCD, Sleeves, Deck Box, and (hopefully) five boosters? If that isn't worth $25, I don't know WHAT is!

Gotta fire off an email right now...
 
just checked beach and so far our primes are slowking,raichu,epeon,umbreon(these come in two theme decks, and houndoom which is printed on a booster box, im wiling to bet that the last prime will be scizor seeing as all the other options are involved with the lost zone and that hasits own set. the confirmed legends are Kyogre / Groudon and Rayquaza /Deoxys im excited for this set.

Well, first things first, I like the changes to the theme deck in theory so far; it remains to be seen whether or not the deck box is worth anything (could just be some cheap cardboard you connect together yourself without seeing any pictures), but the additional booster (presuming it's of the same set and not some recycled old set) makes it worthwhile.

Finally...anyone else get the feeling our sets are getting ridiculously out of whack compared to Japan? I know LL is a mini set, but we're still missing cards from Revived Legends, and with Clash at the Summit being a full set, we're falling behind on Primes...something has to give with these stupid sub-100 card sets we've been getting. What I wouldn't do for a nice set with 100+ cards...

Horrae for Eeveeloutions though! And there just MIGHT be a Glaceon... If they are adding cards from Clash at the Summit, and we don't know what's in that at all

off topic: is anyone else surprised they haven't made a shiny Leafeon and Glaceon yet? Ya think they will eventually?

But seriously, not a huge fan of the set name but don't care THAT much. Just wish I wanted something out of the set other than Vileplume.
 
I hope Vileplume isn't in this set, just to spite the people who have said "All I want is Vileplume!" for two sets in a row.

"Lets put extra random stuff with the theme decks so people will buy them instead of making them even semi-decent!" Going off the quality of the pre-release sleeves and HS cards being lower quality (curve easily, ugly fonts for the text and energy symbols) I'm going to guess the deckbox will be next to useless.
 
Oh yes! <3 I just hope the deck boxes have the eeveelu's on them! (collects them ^^) And for once a theme deck will be a great prize to win in raffles!!!

Hopefully TPCI will do better next set on the quality. ;D
