BW-on Hydreigon Darkrai

It was a suggestion that has been successful (to kirbyking), that was just if you wanted to make more effective use of keldeo. Ideally, yes but not always an option. Also, if you play shamin, there is another option to take out terrakion without endangering your hydreigon. Dragonblast is great, but really not supposed to be used unless you have to. Putting hydriegon into the active when it isn't necessary really endangers the style of the deck. Anyway, good luck!

Do you have a decklist up? I play this deck and I really have been running into some consistincy issues. Energies seem few and far between. I'll post mine up in a thread if you don't mind looking at it. @ kirbyking

I'll admit I have hit some consistency issues too. I started supporterless for the first 6 turns in top 2, but everyone does. My opponent list the second game because he prized 3 energy switch. That however is just bad luck :p Other than that my first round I didn't shuffle well enough. I got N'd turn one though, so sometimes you have to hope you'll get lucky. :)

I am here to help. Ask any question you want.

i like the prism tech its just most deck list take away eviolites to add them. and to kill the landours it needs 2 prism and its some what hard to get i rather be able to get the most energys on field then looking for 2 prism and taking a few free hits, having more energy with an eviolite is great i rather 2 shot it and be fine with energys .

I'm confused, prisms in this deck replace blends, not eviolite. You would play three or four prisms in place of blends. That all depends on your play style and tech preference on which you would play. I like using hydreigon (and I'm not going to be buying a keldeo until it comes in tins) so blends for me. Eviolite really should be played in this deck no matter the energy choice as it takes darkrai from a 2HKO to 3HKO or a ridiculous mewtwo (revenge with your own, taking probably all of their energies off of the field).

I think the eviolite vs dark claw debate is interesting. I recently switched my lone eviolite to a dark claw for this reason:
Tool Scrapper
With Dark Claw, you will get your 20 extra damage without them getting a turn to scrapper it. With eviolite, they can tool scrapper it away before it does a thing. If they don't have the tool scrapper, they can skyla for it. If they don't run tool scrapper (they probably should be), but they can use catchers to go for other Darkrai instead.
Dark claw also has the advantage of getting things like Blastoise and Terrakion in range of a knockout after the 30 bench damage.

alot of player keep the blends to attack with the hydreigon but switching it out with prism you arent able to attack a sigilyph. so most player take out the eviolites to add it

Also, if Dark Claw stays in play, it basically negates the effects of another player's eviolite without you having to waste a scrapper of your own.

That depends on your techs. Sigilyph can beat sigilyph as can terrakion (in my mind, really the only reason to run prisms in this deck) and giritina ex, then blends are not necessary. I'm not really a fan of the prisms, but sigilyph is not a reason to drop eviolites. Lol.

The problem with only prisms is if you hit mirror your opponent will spam catcher Ko with their Hydreigon on your Hydreigon and you can't really stop them.

I would say that you are still a little light on supporters(You have 11, I hear that most people run 12-14ish). I would probably cut the random receiver for it. Do you like the energy search?

Yeah its nice for early game. I can use it and keep the energy in my hand so I can later discard it and dark patch it back on. I was thinking of cutting it though. Maybe drop the RR and the energy search for two Bianca.

Don't know, I just added one (energy search and 2 biancas) to my deck to see if it helps, I'll let you know how I thought that it works when I play test it. I also added two bouffer bouffalant to see how it plays.

Ok, I definitely need to play it some more to get a good grasp on the general trends of the deck, but:
Pros:
Skyla to energy search to junk hunt etc helps set up for a T2 night spear and funds dark patch engine.
Hydreigon was up by T3 (I run 4-0-3) at the latest
Cons:
A couple ghost hands of no energies but pokemon after pokemon etc. (4-0-3 hydreigon, 1 Shaymin EX, 2 bouffalant, 3 darkrai, 2 sableye)
Again, more hands will reveal flaws with this deck I think, but I did like the energy search. I'm going to keep it for now.

You can't run 10 energies in this deck. It just doesn't work, even with energy search. Think about this.

If you consider energy search the 11th energy, you play energy search, lose an energy, then you get an energy, which is losing another energy from your deck. See what I mean?

Plus you want more dark energies to discard/attach period.
