i'm just going to respond to the title b/c this thread has turned into a joke.
I think you're wrong.
I think you're wrong.
Basically from what I read, your saying no energies in every package = seriously flawed game. I really wish I could get you to see how unreasonable your starting to sound. Im really not sure if your trying to start the greatest internet troll of all time or you are really out of your mind but either way Id appreciate it if you could TRY to understand how wasteful these thoughts are.
I said again and again, that they should release a product tailored for the people who love to do sealed and draft, right out of the box. Since there probably isn't going to be that many, that means something like this should be an infrequent release, or even a limited print run. I'm pretty sure you are smart enough to understand that infrequent does not equate to "all the time".
Twisting my words much?
The game IS flawed, because it is designed in such a way that it REQUIRES resource cards to play. Take a look at Cardfight Vanguard, and you will know what I mean. If the market wants nothing but actual pokemon cards, then the game should be designed so that that's all you need, and still be able to win.
I also NEVER SAID ANYTHING about adding energy cards to 100% of their products. You seem to twist what I say just so you can prove that you are right and I'm not. Pokémon already offers something to meet this need, and that is the Pre-release events every 3 months. The organizer provides the energy you need for that day, and can sell it to you too.

Not in my area.
A product like this would allow people, who live in locations where Magic or Yugioh are taken precedence over Pokemon TCG can still be able to do the draft and sealed pack play, the same things that are done in prereleases, without having to start their own league. Starting leagues takes time and money, and if someone doesn't have the time and money to maintain one, then why should they be left out?
How does a league cost money? They're free to run. All you have to do is find a public place to run it at. I've heard of people running them at pizza places and other locations like that. If you really wanted to run a league it's not that terribly difficult to find a place to run it at.
Not in my area. Prerelease events only happen if an event organizer holds prerelease events. By not releasing something that I suggested, it really means that a place where Pokemon TCG, as a game, not as a collectable, will become even more unpopular. Pokemon TCG is only popular in places where there are leagues. Where there is none, why would anyone want to start one, if the population there find it much easier to get into, let's say, WoW TCG over Pokemon TCG.

I can't technically force people to play the game, just so I could start a league, and get free energies, and I already refuted many points.
1. A kid cries when they pull an energy from a pack.
Ok, first of all, what I suggest never involves pulling an energy from a pack, and second of all, this will most likely be hobby store exclusive, sold in places where leagues aren't run, because there aren't any demand for a league, and what little people who actually want to play the game, can actually buy this.
2. You have energy, this won't sell because YOU won't buy it.
I asked the same thing in the MTG forums. They either donate the extra lands, use them as proxies, or just not buy the product. This product is designed in such a way that people would only buy one, and one only, probably for their rest of their lives. They are for people to get a start and build that energy base. The people in the MTG forums surely don't cry every time they get 8 extra energy cards.
3. The game is for collectors, so therefore absolutely no product should be geared towards attracting new players in playing the game, in many ways possible, such as draft, sealed, or plain constructed.
Even if it was geared towards collectors, it does not mean that absolutely no resources should be used to make a product geared towards a different audience. Take an analogy with an road that is icy, but not many people walk on it, but there are still few people using that road, out of necessity. What many would suggest is to save money and not put sand on that icy surface, and ask those people to take an even longer detour. Another analogy is not maintaining a small road at all, just because a few people use it and the majority doesn't.
I also see a HUGE contradiction here, and I have stated this before.
My argument about the prices not increasing significantly, because of the addition of energy cards packaged with at least ONE box set per year, or 2 years, is because WOTC has done something where they packaged basic lands, and the price hasn't increased significantly. Then someone comes in and says MTG and PTCG are so vastly different, that the same strategy cannot be used.
Most replies here are simply, I can buy this from online store X, therefore you can buy it from online store X. Nobody realizes that that's what I said when if WOTC could do this, so could TPCi. If TPCi has a preference to NOT put any effort to cater to the few people in a region who want to play, in a place where MTG and YGO reign supreme, then I also have a preference to never buy online. Unless we are the same person, living in the same place, with the same schedules, then we are all different. You can get energy easily, because Pokemon TCG, when being played as a game, is more widespread in your area, than it is in mine.
It takes time and money to do anything in this world unless you plan to just sit on your butt and let your life go by.
Lets say TPC makes your dreams come true and gives you energy in whatever product you wished. How do you play the game then? You need to find someone to play the game too right? Does TPC package up a person who comes with a Pokemon deck to sell to you as well? Since you havent addressed what people should do if even if they have all the cards to play the people needed to play the game. If nobody is in your area to play the game when why even bother to buy the cards for to begin with?
You maybe heard of casual games, where I don't know, you play at home? Oh, did I say that this game doesn't allow anyone to play where they want? I thought I should mention that again.
You're showing symptoms of a deprived childhood.
Basketball, for example, is a casual game where you need to the go to the park to play (i.e., you can't play it at home). What's preventing you from playing Pokemon at home? I play Pokemon at home all the time. Order your energy cards online, it gets shipped to your door, and now you can play at home.
I wouldn't have started this thread in the first place if I didn't have anybody to play with, would I now.

This is becoming a very stupid topic but just for argument sake I think its hilarious to keep going. Im really not sure if your serious but I'll humor you.

So if you have people to play with why dont you ask them for energies? Those people most likely have purchased product and have energies since other wise theres no other way you started playing other wise.
We ALL don't have energies. We, as in, my group.
I seriously was going to let this thread go, until you revived it, by saying that I'm a troll. If you think that was the case, then why feed me?
