Agreed. I'm saying that Blastiose/Keldeo is dominating right now in Japan. I think its because of the Black Kyurem EX in the Zapdos Plasma deck.

Doesn't surprise me. The deck is simple to play, doesn't have many hard decisions and hits hard. However, in the top tables, Darkrai won, and that doesn't surprise me at all. It has a lot more options, and IMO it has the advantage over Blastoise/Keldeo for two reasons:

1- Blastoise is inconsistent;
2- After a 30 damage snipe, Keldeo get's OHKO'd by a Darkrai w/Dark Claw + PHB (which isn't hard to get, considering that the Dark Claw should be attached already).

Just a quick update while I have time. I have updated the Top 4 in Osaka to match what is reported on the PCGN Blog (link to the actual post). I also updated with the winning decks for the final day of the Tokyo Battle Carnival. Only the first place decks were reported again by the @Pokemon_cojp on twitter.

On the subject of deck lists, they will only be posted up if players decide to share them or if they are reported through official blogs like PCGN.

Question to players from Japan(if someone else besides rogan), how much Tropical Beach costs? And is it difference in price with 2011 beach and 2012?

Its interesting to see that Eergy Switch is at such a low count. I feel like our big basics decks are almost stapled 4/4/4 Catcher/Juniper/Energy Switch anymore, and t seems that Japanese players just like having the option. Although i suppose Scramble Switch is the reason for this. Obviously the counts of Colress and Skyla are pretty low too, which again goes against what we would think. But most interestingly of all in my opinion is a mere 1 Ultra Ball. I can't imagine having so little Pokemon search in a deck o.o, especially when you want to Scramble Switch to the appropriate ones.

But PHB and Virbank seem like the real deal. Free double plus power + chance of sleep is too good i suppose. Really makes me wish we had gotten Virbank while it couldve just been a cute rogue card D:

Ummmm 170 - 30 (snipe) - 110 (dark claw) - 20 (double posion) = 10 HP left.

Virbank just adds 2 more damage counters to whatever poison it is. So regular poison does 10+20=30 dmg, bad poison does 20+20=40 dmg and Plasma Crobat does (I believe) 40+20=60 dmg between turns when it's in play.

Updated the 2nd place of Tokyo 1st day in the Open League with a link to the deck list provided by Prinny (creator of the deck who also created the Darkrai EX + Sableye + Keldeo EX that was shown earlier) once again. I also updated the 1st place Tokyo 2nd day in the Junior League provided by Hiroshi once again. Thank you to both of them. =]

I don't know if it's the same guy but my only loss in Osaka was to someone running the Darkrai/Mewtwo/Tornadus/etc stuff. I'd LOVE to see that list D:

I believe so yes.

He came out the day before Osaka's Battle Carnival but I didn't see him get played once. I don't know if it was because people didn't have enough time to properly test their decks with him and plasma badge in them or if they just didn't want to shell out the tons of money on the starter decks for them but he was basically nowhere to be found in Osaka and judging from the lists posted thus far, he might not have been played much in Tokyo either.

i'm pretty sure teh reason colress isn't played is b/c if all the decks are just these huge big basic decks no1's going to have much of a bench, especially turn one so N is just safer tbh. Also not sure why there is a lack of skyla though.
