JUST GOT REAL. A Mime Jr. Speculation / Realization of Potential Thread.

I would say that mew prime relies on trainers. And if mime jr doesn't have a body, it's just like an unown q as your main attacker. Plus, if it's an sp deck teching the dialga, power spray puts an end to your deck stopping at key times. It may be quick, but so is sp.

Looks like a bad Sablock imo. I mean, Sablock can't Zone stuff, but it can re-arrange it and snipe for 80.

Everyone here knows there IS an Absol G Lv.X...right?

mew prime is not the focus of this deck, it is merely an option. I am pretty sure that mime jr. + chatot drop / seeker, plus a couple of lucky Sweet Sleeping Faces + plus rescue energy would be enough to do the job.

we will see ;)

yes, Absol G LV. X does exist. >_> He is too clunky and flippy in this mercilessly speed-oriented format though.

And consider - lost zoning an uxie or an azelf. Lost Zoning a Blaziken FB X, Honchkrow SV or a Dialga G LV X

how about locking your opponent at the beginning and then monitoring their next cards so you can lost zone their next resources?

bad line up for the next 3-4 cards? make them shuffle their deck through a variety of methods, and then try again - luck is on your side by doing this

I meant to say bodies instead of trainers on my last post btw. Sure, it's an option, but that's 4 cards in the deck that just become useless. Your main attacker has 30 hp! If Sweet Sleeping Faces is its protective body...it won't work! It just seems like with this lost world varient, you're quicker, but you would be lucky to get a lost zoned pokemon per turn, whereas I am basically taking a guaranteed prize each turn.

But you're right.... we shall see indeed.... :)

oh gotcha!

touche, good point. The prevalence of Dialga probably means that Mew Prime is less of an option. If it is, lost zoning out either a dialga or dialga x would be paramount - but not very probable.

and we will! XD

I guess maybe

All this stuff Sablock can do...

but it can snipe for 80 and has actual attackers that aren't triple flash bit dead.

True, Spiritomb TM is a much better option indeed.

I made a mock list I'm playing around with XD It doesn't have any mews in it though since I've never cared much for Mew. I figure Mew and Mime Jr are both gonna get one-shotted, so I might as well use the direct source lol.

If you plan winning via lost world why don't you just use Gengar prime, Palkia lv. X, Absol G lv X or even Giratina lv. X? all of those pokemon can send stuff to the lost zone and willed not get killed by 3 flash bites

You can, this is just an alternative. And technically, people are already thinking ways of one shotting Gengar.

And as for Flash Bite - Mesprit

No think about it. With Mew prime you cant be one energy KO'd by Gengar SF and it makes swarmming easier. You just lost Zone one Mime Jr and all of the sudden you have 7 total left in your deck. You wont need to recover any pokemon from your discard pile, you cant loose 7 prizes in a game. Just run losts of warp points, switches and healing cards. Snowpoint temple would be nice as well. This deck could win with zero Energy in it.

Except See Off requires 1 Psychic Energy.

Just a reminder; Mime Jr's body doesn't protect it from effects of attacks
Gengars, Machamps (if anyone still runs one) and Crobats will eat this for breakfast; also a sableye if he opens with an energy.

He's worth a glance but he's questionable.

i agree.

Also, lets consider Giratina Broken Space Blow. But then that would require more energies lol...

did you read my first post starting off this thread? lol.

and honestly - if i achieve a lock at the beginning with Cyrus' Initiative that will be hard to pull off

Yes! Ya man i was just talking to my roommate about this - the lookers, judge, etc. combos and palkia G lv X giving you a +2 lost zone net.

Something that recently came to mind - how about a spiritomb TM? It helps you rearrange your opponent's top 4 without exhausting your supporter slot for the turn - letting you use that seeker to help you refresh your hand with uxie or help lay down chatot again. Poketurn + chatot is better right now, but what if you are in trainer lock? ;)

In all honesty this started out somewhat as a trollish thread but it has become more than i was ready for!

XD

LOL I started out trolling the troll and was half joking about Mew Prime but I am starting to actually like the idea as well now.

Why not just use the scanned image that is already here on the Pokegym as a single so you don't have to scout around all over to find the card you're looking for?

woah sorry there my man. I do not even have an account on the-beach-that-must-not-be-named!

I am still trying to find the thread where PokeGym has the CoL scans and it is not a link to the dreaded beach scans...

huh.

Just click on picture gallery and go to the call of legends link in the list of expansions.

Just tested Mime vs Lostgar, Mime has won 11/14

seriously? splendid!

I can actually believe that.

I am testing my variant against Gyarados today. I am a bit worried about this match up - seeing that if I do not have lock quickly, those magikarps are going to be discarded fast.

^ What about other matchups?

Honestly, this deck is pretty feasible against most all decks - regardless of their strategy. Lost Zoning equally shafts all decks and there is really no way to guard against it except by drawing all that you do not need lost zoned in your hand. but even this can be played around, by using Spiritomb TM + Seeker + chatot drops to help randomize your opponent's top 4 again.

This deck skeleton will also be format resilient - switching the chatot with Slowking HG /SS when the rotation hits.

Testing against Gyara tonight. :D

Again I say; what about Absol G Lv.X? Ain't it like the EXACT same thing, only with much more HP, and Mime's attack is a power (albeit a bit flippy) but Absol actually has a damaging attack too?

I'm kinda lost here. And Sablock does what this does better imo.
