JAPPLE: Yeah, a lot of times the tech just "gets in the way" no doubt. And, yes, the Crystal Beach, if it doesn't get in the way of DRE (or Scramble, if you play it- I don't at the moment), and your metagame isn't about Windstorm, it could work well.

KEMPLEY: Hey, thanks. Good to have you on our side. And the Absolutions matchup I admit was harder, but let me explain. Without Mew EX, Absolutions would have *died* to Mario. So, in fact, I was beaten by Mew EX and not Absolutions, although yes, the Jolteon* and Absol EX damage placement/movement is killer.

BTW, how do you formally submit for front page status. I've PM'd Ryan, and he said he'd get back to me on it. Is that the proper procedure?

KENTA: lol... I thought you didn't want to post your list. Good to see you here :) Nice list.

THE CAPTAIN: Please delete your identical posts. About Crystal Beach, yes, it would be good to counter that to play our DRE, but I don't know to play it is the way to go. Maybe. And the Minnesota BR, was that a Senior or Junior?

masters

i played the deck my self too but faced a bandoom in the last round of swiss.

OK, I adjusted the Battle Roads "Tournament Sightings" to reflect the Minnesota win.

Thanks also for removing repeated posts.

And it seems to me, that for HP-on, the "raging battle" is whether to play 4 CC, a combination of CC/Battle Frontier, or to go without both and try something new (like Crystal Beach, e.g.). I'm going to post soon an HP-DP2 list (since Battle Roads will likely include DP2), and I'd like to get a good feel for the whole thing. Personally, I leaning towards 3 CC/2 BF.

Battle Roads will include DP2. Don't you think Lake Barrier would be tight against those fighting weak pokemon with >70HP from DP-on?

Right.

Remember that if you have no damage/10 damages even Flygon ex can't OHKO your DP Machamps.

Anyway, BF/CC are better lock trainers.

Hey i was wondering what is a GOOD trainer engine for Mario (HP-on)
the one up front has cards that WILL be rotated so i was wondering a good REPLACEMENT trainer line???

oh ok btw what do you think of this so far...
3 Castaway
4 Cessation Crystal
3 TVR
2 H. Mentor
4 Pluspower
3 Celios
3 Rare Candy
2 Night Maintenance
1 Warp Point

25 trainers lmk what do u think????

Well let's see...

2 Mentor/ 3 Celio's/ 3 Rare Candy... not too bad
3 Castaway/4 Cessation... pretty good
3 TV Reporter... I would say, first, you need 5 draw, and then I think are better draw available
4 Plus Power.... great
1 Warp Point... as good as can be for now
2 Night Maintenance... I think 1 is sufficient, and not really to retrieve anything, but to replenish the deck for those times you're decking out

IMO.

POLIWAG: Usually 3 Lucario are played. so why not try it?

But the problem is that it has a power(yeah, a GOOD one) and you can't go with cessation crystal.

DABEST:
Trainer:26
3 Professor Rowan
2 Steven's Advice
3 Celio's Network
3 Castaway
3 Cessation Crystal
1 Crystal Shard
2 Great Ball
1 Mentor (i like 3 greatballs, but this is for castaway)
3 Rare Candy
4 Plus Power

Here's your 25 trainers.
When Night Maintenance will be released, add one of those.

I think that Lucario LV.X would work for a quick hit if you can't energise/bring out a Machamp plus it prevents damage for 1 turn

Uhm, that's my opinion:

You start with Lucario and do some Aura Sphere (or in midgame yuo are doing this), but Lucario has only few HP left or che opponent has an active pokemon with high HP.You level up and then do 80 adding an energy. It can't attack you, and you do another 80 damages and lose your LV X doing 160 damages, or just continue aura sphering with +20HP and a 80 damage attack that can be used.

All this with only a stage1 pokemon..

I named it for the Nintendo character (Nintendo=Pokemon... duh).

I just finished my first draft of DP2 Pokemon which will work well here. I'll whittle it down and present soon.

Yeah. I don't see why it wouldn't be the play to put in Lucario LV X. We already play 4-3 Riolu-Lucario, so 1 Lucario Lv X is perfect.

For draw, what about Steven's Advice? I've found my hand is usually small enough to benifit from the massive hand boost Steven gives me.

For Shut-down, I'd probably play 3 Cessation Crystal and 2 Battle Frontier,(I hate that Cursed Stone is leaving) That way I can will the Windstorm War, while still being able to use Lucario Lv X's power when I need to.
