Yeah. I don't see why it wouldn't be the play to put in Lucario LV X. We already play 4-3 Riolu-Lucario, so 1 Lucario Lv X is perfect.

Definitely 1 or even 2.

For draw, what about Steven's Advice? I've found my hand is usually small enough to benifit from the massive hand boost Steven gives me.

I run 2 Rowan-1 Steven-1 Copycat-1 Bill's Maintenance. Maybe trade the Copycat for another Steven's.
For Shut-down, I'd probably play 3 Cessation Crystal and 2 Battle Frontier,(I hate that Cursed Stone is leaving) That way I can will the Windstorm War, while still being able to use Lucario Lv X's power when I need to.

Excellent strat

Definitely 1 or even 2.

If you ran 2 Lucario Lv X's, you'd only be able to run 2 normal Lucario... I think 1 Lucario Lv X is good enough(though playtesting will deff. show which is better)

I run 2 Rowan-1 Steven-1 Copycat-1 Bill's Maintenance. Maybe trade the Copycat for another Steven's.
Eh.. I'm not to fond of Bill's Maintenance, so I might remove that for a 2nd Steven's. I like the Rowan idea, as you can save a PlusPower/or a card you need, (I've ran a 1-1 Rowan/Copycat line before)

Excellent strat

2 LV X is too bad IMHO.
Lucario still the pokemon to have at T2 and you must have it.LV X is just a tech, so 1 is good.

Sandslash: try 3 rowan and 2 steven.
I like to use Rowan and save a Steven in my hand, so next turn i surely can play it without the problem of the big hand.

Yeah, I forgot the Lv.X rule. I keep thinking it's EX. 1 is plenty.

All of the draw ideas are feasible. The only given, I think, is to have 5 draw.

Surely all the ideas are good, but we are just trying to find the best ;P

So, what do you (not King, you ALL xD) use as draw?

As I said, IMHO Steven/Rowan works.

I use 2 rowan, 2 copycat, 2 steven and they work pretty fine

my list is (hp-dp)

Pokemon- 16
4 Riolu
4 Lucario
3 Machop DP
2 Machoke DP
2 Machamp DP
1 Machamp PK

Trainers- 30
3 Celio's
3 Rare Candy

for crystal shard i dont know.... we'll see

Fan club for WHAT?

(se te l'ha chiesto potevi rispondere in MP come ha fatto lui, a che scopo mettere i risultati in firma?)

We all agree on 2 Rowan and we all agree on 2-3 Steven's. After that, I like Bill's Maintenance over Copycat. Just preference. We all agree also on 5-6 Draw.

Rowan good and Stevens looks good too. Bill's Maintenance isn't a bad card, I just feel with so little draw, the better cards should see play first. Rowan was my copycat per say since it does refresh your hand.

Thanks for the help with the trainer linez i appreciate it ALOT

Well let's see...

2 Mentor/ 3 Celio's/ 3 Rare Candy... not too bad
3 Castaway/4 Cessation... pretty good
3 TV Reporter... I would say, first, you need 5 draw, and then I think are better draw available
4 Plus Power.... great
1 Warp Point... as good as can be for now
2 Night Maintenance... I think 1 is sufficient, and not really to retrieve anything, but to replenish the deck for those times you're decking out

IMO.

Okay then this is my NEW AND IMPROVED trainer line.
2 Castaway
1 Scott
2 Mentor
3 Celios
3 Rare Candy
4 Pluspower
2 Steven's Advice
2 Professor Rowan
1 Copycat
3 Cessation Crystal
2 Battle Frontier
1 Warp Point
1 Night Maintenance
(27 Trainers...wow, but eventhough its alot it looks good IMO)

well what do you guyz think now???

I've tested this HP-ON list and it works like a charm. If you want it, here it is:

Pokémon: (16)

4x Riolu
3x Lucario
1x Lucario LV.X
3x Machop
2x Machoke
2x Machamp DP
1x Machamp PK

Trainer: (30)

4x PlusPower
3x Castaway
3x Cessation Crystal
1x Crystal Shard
2x Battle Frontier
1x Scott
3x Celio's Network
2x Great Ball
1x Holon Mentor
2x Copycat
2x Steven's Advice
1x Prof. Rowan
3x Rare Candy
1x Warp Point
1x Night Maintenance

Energy: (14)

12x Fighting
2x Double Rainbow Energy

I'm very surprised with Night Maintenance actually. Unlike Holon Farmer, you can use a supporter in the same turn, so Celio's can grab a Pokémon in that turn. There were lots of games where I could use the LV.X's power twice during the game, giving me 2 free turns.

Lucario Lv.X's power is AMAZING, why can't people see that should be the focus of any HP-on Lucario deck. Straight Lucario/LvX is the way to go. Machamp is a JOKE the card is plain awful.

- Machamp line
+ Trainers

DABEST: Look at Shiny Marshtomp's list. It's nearly perfect, IMO.

SHINY: The only questions I have are,
(1) Should it be 2 Great Ball & 1 Mentor, or 2 Mentor and 1 Great Ball?
(2) Should it be 2 Rowan and 1 Copycat, or 1 Rowan and 2 Copycat?

Otherwise, you list is exactly mine at the present.

I'm glad to see that Night Maintenance is getting a little recognition. I think it will be a big card.

wow thats impressive (and how were you able to test MT cards yet???)
THEY ARENT RELEASED YET!!!!
oh and very odd SAME TIME POST...
so then i guess...
- 1 Machamp (DP)
- 1 Machop (DP)
- 1 Prof. Rowan
- 1 H. Mentor
+ 2 Great Ball
+ 1 Crystal Shard
+ 1 Castaway

would be the play???
if so, DECK EDIT>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

ALSO TO ANSWER KING GENGAR"S QUESTIONS
1) 2 Great Ball and 1 Mentor seems to be the play because they are only 7 basics in the deck AND
you would want to use the supporter for the turn for MORE than just basics, right?

2)I think it should be 2 Rowan AND 2 Copycat (i mean why not? you CAN fit them both!)

You can test MT cards with proxies.

I'm not sure on a few things yet, but we're pretty close to the perfect HP-DP2 "skeleton". Then, I'll post it Front Page and work on a good tech list from DP2.

@ King Gengar: I find Great Ball more useful simply because early game you'll want to use Castaway/ Scott/ Celio's/ Draw instead of Mentor, that will grab only 2 more basics. MARIO is the kind of deck that only needs a Riolu Active + Machop benched (to evolve) in the first few turns, that's why those 2 extra basics aren't needed. A Mentor is only included so you can search for it with Castaway / Scott, as someone stated.

In my playtesting, Copycat was more useful the majority of the time. That's why I use 2 Copycat and 1 Rowan.

@ DaBest: I use proxies. ;D

OK, I'm pretty satisfied with the Trainer Engine. I'm moving on to DP2 tech.

(1) Exeggutor. Good gosh! Look at that 1-Colorless attack! Great bottom stats, but, oh!, that Exeggcute seems to put this to bed, sadly.
(2) Gyarados. Wouldn't it be nice to use that Rage attack? But a 30hp Karp, and other factors, get in the way.
(3) Octillery. I really like Crush Bomber for C.C, and both Octillery and Remoraid have the bottom stats. The only hangup is Remoraid's energy requirement.
(4) Mr Mime. This has a lot of potential as a starter tech to stop all kinds of things (kind of like a Shining Horn Pokemon, but better). The attack isn't terrible.
(5) Unown E. I wouldn't want to start with it, but it makes a good sub for Energy Root.

That's the first 5 of 19.
