Why do I feel like saying Spoink owns?

Does anyone know the contents of the half-decks yet? I want to know if were actually getting any Holon's in this set.
Because he does:tongue: .

Maintence is a candidate for Holon Phantoms too though, so I'd say it's very likely it'll be legal in the next modified.

It matters to a lot more ppl than you think, especially the ones making the sets. There's non-delta PKMN in Delta Species because they're still residents of the area around Holon. And all "Delta" trainers(well, supporters) were citizens of Holon.
That actually makes the most sense to justify their presence in the set...

holon doesn't even EXIST in the game/tv show. what makes you think there even needs to be a story???

Yeah I love the charizard. It's power is really nice, it's electric so it counters it weakness (most of the time) and can discard a DRE to do 110 damage. Pretty insane if you ask me. 120HP is sweet, and I can't wait to get my hands on four of them. They can match the sweet deck box I bought from the set.

Are you implying that there's only a couple regions on the entire planet that they're on in the games/anime? C'mon, it's only logical to assume that Holon is out there somewhere.

And what do you mean "needs to be a story"? Of course there does! Fiction is an important part of Pokemon. There's more than one kind of player, if you belive it or not... not everyone treats this game like it's serious business and their life is at stake. Some ppl like interesting things like fiction.

so you don't want celio, bill's maintenance, etc released in this set because it doesn't coincide with the theme???
oy.
they'll be in the set, regardless of the fact that they have nothing to do with holon. they are already in the japanese set/half decks--they'll be in the english set.

I assume Charizard's attack makes it discard all Metal so you can't do 120 damage and keep the protection that Metal Energy gives. It seems somewhat balanced. Celio reprint sounds great, Bill's reprint sounds irrelivant.

I'm starting to like Alakazam*, its a decent card. The lack of Retriever won't do it any favours though.

I said nothing about not wanting them to reprinted. On the contary... I would love for these fine cards to be reprinted.

No they won't, and if they DO manage to be in the set, they'll find a way to incorperate the characters in. Besides, it sorta makes sense why Bill & Celio would have relations with Holon anyway... an excuse would be easy to make up.

And what's your basis on trainer cards being in sets that have nothing to do w/them?

because they were in the japanese set.
how about copycat? what the heck did copycat have to do with rocket?
also, because the lucario tin cards are going to be in holon phantoms, that means a few supporters from the tin will most likely return. these include:
professor cosmo's discovery
tv reporter
professor oak's research
professor birch
mr. stone's project
bill's maintenance
and what do all those have to do with holon???

Duplica is dressed as a Rocket member on the card:lol:

I wasn't aware that the Lucario tin had anything to do w/Holon in the first place...

I'm not understanding why you want to prove that they'll just throw any reprints in a set like that. They have cards in specific sets for a reason in the first place.

It's like Ex: Emerald was. Just lots of cards put together. Except this is because Holon Phantom was a small set, and adding the tin makes the set larger like most English sets.

And for the reprint issues...Pokemon Reversal was reprinted in UF. What does a purple void of Zubat and Mudkip have to do with a swirling blue void of Raikou, Steelix, Umbreon, and Typhlosion?

Except every trainer in the set was also from the Emerald video game. Scott, Lanette, Rare Candy(hey, it was...), and Pokenav. And Reversal isn't based on the Pokemon on it rather than the act of switching between 2 of your opponent's random Pokemon. Zubat & Mudkip were just the ones that happened to be depicted.

Thinking more logically, there's no game based on Holon or whatever the Miracle Crystal is as a ficional item, so they do have room to expand more on characters that have relations with that.

Then again charking, who said it ever had to make sense?

There is no "story" behind each TCG set...yes there "kinda" is, but it's no rule that the TCG sets have to adhere to. Just look at Ex: Deoxys. If there was a story for Rocket's Raikou ex being there, I'd like to be told it. Or why Rocket's Persian ex was in UF. Or why Pikachu-d was in LM.

The only answer to those were that they were boxtoppers, because boxtoppers really don't have to make sense. Likewise, a TCG set doesn't have to make perfect philosophical sense, it just contains whatever English players need to "catch up" with the Japanese public. That's all, really.

Go Swampert ex. Lots of Potential. Fossils+Lugia ex+Swampert ex could work?
Anyway will this set be out by worlds (I doubt it but I hope it is.)

The boxtoppers aren't "in" the sets. And who said we had to get every card available to the Japanese? Especially the promos. I don't see every McDonald's promo being made into english cards(and yes, I would like to...)

And there are citain "unwritten" rules in sets. You're suggesting that there didn't have to be first-gen Pokes in FireRed/LeafGreen, or Emerald stuff in Emerald. Of course there's no written rule anywhere, but it just makes a lot more sense for them to have something to go by.

This really isn't worth arguing over anyway. Just agree to disagree with me... I don't want anyone else to hate me over a difference of opinion. Oh, and let's get back on teh topic, eh?

I fail to see why Charizard is good.. really. Holon Research Tower could actually serve as a counter for it.. you'd lose all basic energy too.. I only really see DRE and Scramble going for it right now.. playing metals to it would be rather stupid, I'd say..

The power is ok, but if you lose a key Pokemon through it, you're gonna have to Farmer for it by the time MC comes out, I'd say.. that's kinda meh.

Seriously, I don't see much in this card...

Scramble won't even be legal by the looks of things.

I agree, I don't really think Charizard is good at all. But then again, it may work in next year's format.

Saying Charizard isn't good makes me cry.

That card is going to break the format so hard all pokémon players playing it will be unable to continue after losing conceisness.

In short:

Charizard+Delcatty ex=0WNZ0RZ!

Tauros Tauros Tauros... Viva españa ! It's the new Plusle, and it's the best, because it can even be good in middle of game (for stadiums) ! I love it :p
